Conflict of Interest
[edit]Hi, one of the articles you posted in Talk:Tysons Corner, Virginia says the Tysons partnership lobbied Wikipedia to change the name. Is it safe to assume that refers to you? If that's the case, please take the time to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Having a conflict of interest isn't necessarily wrong. But it is good practice to declare and be clear about your interest in/relationship with the subject. As for the naming, as the other editor suggested, I would wait for the dust to settle - Wikipedia is not a primary source and simply goes by what third party sources report and use. It seems pretty clear that local media are using "Tysons" alone and "Tysons Corner" interchangeably, and while it's hard to measure, at least this WTOP article says "Everyone knows it as Tysons Corner" and that's what WP:COMMONNAME would favor.
