Sorry, I didn't see your note at User talk:Mibelz#Alexandru Tyroler. The best reference I have in hand is Jeremy Gaige's Chess Personalia (1987). On page 434 Gaige gives his name as simply "Alexandru Tyroler". No place of birth is given, but the given birthdate, 19 October 1891, agrees with you. Gaige reports his nationality to be Romanian/Hungarian. No date of death is given. My guess is that the 1990 year of death originally in the English language article here was copied from the German page. Gaige gives two sources for this entry. I don't have access to either of them, but maybe they would be of use to you: Magyar Sakkfeladvág or Magyar Sakkélet, 1971, p. 196, and Sah de la A la Z by Constantin Ştefaniu, Bucureşti, 1984. I reverted your change to the article because it broke the interwiki link to the German language wikipedia, de:Alexandru Tyroler. If you can read and write German or you can find someone who does, you might want to see if you can get any inaccuracies in the German language article fixed as well.
