Hello, Tylersunnb and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 18:24, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Addiction article

[edit]

Please don't add large segments of content from your sandbox based on primary research and preliminary pseudoclinical practices, as you did at the Addiction article. This is considered WP:UNDUE content. There were also formatting errors per WP:MOS. Clear this first thoroughly with your instructor. Wikipedia main space is not a whiteboard for practice-editing. Hi thanks for your comment! I noticed you removed the entire Addiction and the Arts section, was this moreso due to it's unfinished state, or the fact that the content itself is based on a few primary articles? Many of those cited sources are actually cited in some tertiary sources which I can also include (although the tertiary sources do not go as much in depth to the findings of the primary studies, so that's why I included them). Also what do you mean by preliminary pseudoclinical? Tylersunnb (talk) 01:34, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - yes: unfinished state + primary sources (which should be WP:MEDRS reviews + unconvincing clinical status that art therapy is used in conventional neurological or psychiatric practice for treating addiction (the preliminary pseudo- or complementary medicine). Work this out further with your instructor, trim it down to only essential content (WP:WEIGHT), and - if warranted then - introduce it on the talk page to allow other editors to review the proposal. Good luck. Zefr (talk) 02:07, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
