Vandalism
Sorry for the vandelism Tyler, I am new to this site and thought it was some kind of glitch only on my comp. I was going to bet a friend and have it written on the page that he owes me money. Sorry for the stupidity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.246.31.99 (talk) 02:53, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Adoption
Here we go! Everything's set up for the mentorship program. To start us off, I've got a short questionnaire for you to fill out - this will help me figure out how to run all this, and what you feel you really need work on. When you're ready to start, come on over to User:Hersfold/Adopt and take a look around. Talk to you soon! Hersfold (t/a/c) 16:29, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Tyler. Just so you know, it may be a while until I can get something put together for you. I'm going to be away all this weekend, and before I go I'm going to try to answer as many questions for the ArbCom election as possible. In the meantime, I have added a lesson on cleanup patrols to your adoption page; you said you wanted some more ideas of when to tag articles for attention, and I think by working on some articles that have been tagged, you might get a better idea of what to look for. If you have any questions, let me know - I'll be around through tomorrow afternoon (Eastern) and should still be able to check email at least on the weekend. Good luck! Thanks for reverting an attack to my userpage. You might want to check if 75.76.172.87 is the same as User:Iivit, as they have similar style of vandalism. I guess it might be revenge on me because I reverted the user's edit in Ghost Whisperer (the edit was: is canceled), and gave him warning. w_tanoto (talk) 02:59, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Also -
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on User talk: Tvoz, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Also, using the auto-sign gives others a direct link to your talk page which is helpful for replying. Thanks. Tvoz/talk 01:01, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:20, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind support, of course the speed with which all this happened prevented me from correcting my edit which is indeed in fact relevant and useful. I will certainly take your advice and learn how to put the ref in again witoout making a mess of the edit first. Once again thank you for your support. Best wishes. 62.255.75.224 (talk) 01:59, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Susan Lindauer
My contribution to the page on Susan Lindauer consisted primarily of direct quotes from the published decision made by Judge Michael Mukasey, the judge who decided on her case. The reference to his published decision is linked on the page. How was it not properly verified? If there is a specific protocol I should follow, please advise. Please understand also that I am still grappling with some of Wikipedia's syntax (footnotes, etc.). I have also reverted edits which in my opinion rely on original research, hearsay, and oped sources, rather than facts. I think this was proper. Some things that were written on her page are patently false (e.g., Lindauer was never accused of espionage, so calling her an accused spy or referring to alleged spying is highly inappropriate.) I appreciate your thoughts and help. Thanks! 98.217.149.5 (talk) 04:21, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback, and I am glad you liked the edits I made! 98.217.149.5 (talk) 01:57, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Tyler, I have approved your request, welcome back to the team. You may now access the interface here. Before you do so, please read the Wikipedia:Request an account/Guide and the
Wikipedia:Username policy thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the changes made since your previous activity. It is strongly advised that you monitor the ACC IRC channel while working on requests, the channel is here #wikipedia-en-accounts connect on where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and to get any advice on current requests. Account Creations has it own Email list which we use for communicating between the team and handle requests from users who have difficulties using the request an account system and forms, on average a good percentage of the account requests we handle never comes through the interface and are handled and created through this mailing system. You'll need to request a subscription here ACC mailing list. Please note that we have implemented a policy of zero tolerance on mishandled requests, and that failure to assess correctly will result in suspension. I would like to emphasize that it is not a race to complete a request, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. You are aware of the Account creator user right, it's basically the same but, please have a look at some point to refresh your memory. This flag will be handled as if you were new to the ACC process, when you feel ready you'll need to request it at WP:PERM/ACC. Please keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse will result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for wanting to re-join the team and help new users.

Why did you remove my post
Hi Tyler, I think my post re Andreas Reischek is totally appropriate as he is one of the most reviled people in our particular part of New Zealand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.104.143 (talk) 07:52, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Tyler,
regarding the article on Ludo Martens, I would like to point out that the man was not a proper historian. he had no academic degree or connection to a university or other academic institution and wrote his books primarily to promote his political ideas (which were indeed of communist persuasion). I changed the article because it gives the false impression that the "history" books Martens wrote are uncontroversial and widely accepted, which is not the case. Personally I believe the whole article should be rewritten, and the dutch version would be a good basis to start from, as it places the emphasis on his political activities and doesn't try to pass him of as something he wasn't, ie a historian. Please note that I have no desire to make Martens look bad, I only did the edited because itw as clear to me the article as written, is misleading (and probably deliberately so).
Best,
a wikipedia fan who thinks there's room for improvement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.212.29.93 (talk) 08:25, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for your detailed explanation. I apologize if my undo of your edit seemed rude. I encourage you to read Wikipedia:NPOV, which outlines the guidelines for editing pertaining to maintaining a neutral point of view, without any bias towards a subject. When editing on Wikipedia, you are required to adhere to certain guidelines for editing. For a list of all the Wikipedia policies and guidelines you should follow when posting on Wikipedia, please go to Wikipedia:Policies_and_guidelines. I do apologize if all this seems like a lot of "rules and regulations" to follow, but there are just certain guidelines you have to follow when posting on Wikipedia.
- I hope this clears things up. If you have any questions, feel free to browse Help:Contents if you need any additional help, as that page should be able to answer any and all questions you may have about Wikipedia. Tyler | Talk - Contributions | 10:33, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
