[edit]Hello, Tydelorean. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page John DeLorean, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Rusalkii (talk) 19:34, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
John DeLorean COI
[edit]If you want to edit something about you in this article, please leave a notice on the talk page so that uninvolved editors can add it in if it seems useful. Your edits thus far have not been neutral, and if you continue to edit this article directly you may be banned from editing. You can read more about Wikipedia's procedure for editing when you have a conflict of interest here. Rusalkii (talk) 17:33, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- Please stop edit warring over the article and discuss your proposed changes on the talk page. If you continue making changes directly, I will report you to Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. Rusalkii (talk) 17:53, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Rusalkii (talk) 17:59, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
A word of advice
[edit]If you wish to continue to contribute to Wikipedia, you would be well advised to stop editing the John DeLorean article, and any other related articles. If you actually are DeLorian's son, such editing is in violation of Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines, and in any case, the sources cited do nothing to establish that such content belongs in the article, or anywhere on Wikipedia. If and when any credible source becomes available that takes these claims that DeLorean has an illegitimate son seriously, we can of course reconsider, but for now non of this belongs in any article, given the complete lack of evidence that it is being taken seriously by anyone beyond hack journalists looking for page fillers. If further, more credible sourcing becomes available, feel free to raise the matter at Talk:John DeLorean, where experienced uninvolved contributors can assess the material and decide how to proceed. AndyTheGrump (talk) 13:04, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
How dare you consider my claims to be hack journalists looking for page fillers. Tydelorean (talk) 08:35, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
So why don’t you just delete the Wikipedia insert. Please spell my name right, it’s Delorean not Delorian Tydelorean (talk) 08:36, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
It’s my God damn name on my passport. How dare you Tydelorean (talk) 21:23, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
