Twotimer17, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi Twotimer17! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The Big Bang Theory column widths
[edit]At least part of the reason you might be seeing so many lines is due to the column widths being improperly specified. For example, at the lower resolutions (1280px wide for example), the column widths for the episode number columns are incorrect. The minimum width for |EpisodeNumber=
is 5%, while it is currently set to 4%. Because of the width of "overall" in the column header, the column width will ignore the setting and force the column to be at least 5%. Similarly, the minimum width for |EpisodeNumber2=
is 6%, while it too is set to 4%. Because of the width of "season" in the column header, the column width will ignore the setting and force the column to be at least 6%. |ProdCode=
is another problem. "Production" will not fit into 5%, which is the current setting. It's best to set the column header to "{{Abbr|Prod.|Production}}<br />code" to make the column narrower. However, this still requires a column width of 7% to fit the production code data. You can see the difference in the width of the column header text below:
- No.
overall - No.
in season - Production
code - Prod.
code
Improperly setting these column widths causes a cascade error in the other columns. None will be the right width unless you have an extremely high screen width. --AussieLegend (✉) 19:15, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
As I have explained above, and repeatedly stated in edit summaries, column widths have to work at all resolutions. The widths that I've set the column widths to do that. Your changes force columns to take up many more lines than they need to at lower resolutions. Please stop changing them. --AussieLegend (✉) 04:16, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Game of Thrones
[edit]Hi,
If you think the hatnotes are unnecessary, that's OK with me. I just thought readers might be confused if "Game of Thrones: Season 1" redirects to the season article because the soundtrack is named the same (though at least I wouldn't expect the soundtrack article to be at a base title like that, I don't know if anyone would), but I guess they will be able to find that information in the article anyway (like I said, I think disambiguation pages in that case are overkill, and nobody really said anything on the talk page for a week). nyuszika7h (talk) 09:41, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Chicago Fire (season 5), contributed colours that may cause accessibility problems for users with certain types of visual disabilities. We aim to use colours that meet the WCAG AAA standard for accessibility. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines on this subject, which can be found at WP:COLOR; this page provides further information about contributing AAA-compliant colours to this encyclopedia. For information specific to templates used in articles about television, please also see Template talk:Infobox television season/Archive 3. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Castle episodes into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. American Horror Story
[edit]You recently made a plethora of non-consensus, bold edits across all of the seasons without discussing a word on the respective Talk pages. Your edits have all be reverted due to non-consensus, in the case of Asylum, a violation of WP:COLOR contrasting issues, and being overall disruptive. If you have a major problem, as seems to be the case, with colour themes of seasons and episode column widths, then you go the proper route and take your grievances to your fellow editors. This behavior is becoming alarmingly common from you, I hope that this is a wake up call to appropriate protocol. LLArrow (talk) 23:49, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- LLArrow I'm sorry, but why do you have such a problem with some of my edits made, in this case only two edits to which you disagreed with. The color for Asylum matched way more than the black, based on the fact that Roanoke, the sixth season, matched the black color better. I have seen plenty of editors who change the color for a season with no problem, and I have also been doing it. I think it is a little alarming that you must give me "a wake up call" based only on two edits, to which only you disagreed with me. The episode column widths problem you have with me is based only on Homeland episodes, which was expectable and not harassment on the page because only I thought it was "easy on the eyes". A countless of tv shows use the same widths for its episode table to create an easier look on the series in the "list of episodes" page, including The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Empire, Once Upon a Time and American Horror Story. I really don't think my edits have been an issue for people, only for you since you have disagreed with me. This is not me being defensive, but rather trying to understand as to why you have an issue with these edits, which by the way has been done on several other pages, not just by me, and I don't see any conflict there. Twotimer17 (talk) 11:13, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, Twotimer. LLArrow seems to have a strong defense against any change to the AHS articles. This can be seen per the article histories, the talk pages, and his own user talk page (I recommend you to take a look), and he finds himself ready to edit war over the smallest of edits, even though that have project-wide consensus (e.g. the column widths), even when he is the only editor that agrees against multiple others. You have nothing to worry about, nor any "wake up call" necessary; it is LLArrow's contributions that are under scrutiny from both admins and editors. Alex|The|Whovian? 11:18, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- AlexTheWhovian I appreciate that. I have now looked at LLArrow's talk page, and it is clear that he have a strong defense, especially against you it appears. I for one, does not agree with him, and I have also felt his anger towards my edits, which only contributes to the pages, not harassing them. LLArrow has also said on your talk page that he quote "hates episode widths" which explains his hostile attitude against me when I made the same widths for Homeland seasons. Twotimer17 (talk) 11:50, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, it's that quote that I'm referring to when I mention that he doesn't abide by project-wide consensus, as almost every contributing editor of the Television WikiProject has expressed positive views on the inclusion of them. If you take a look at the histories for the Shameless season pages, you'll see an identical situation. If be becomes at all uncivil or begins edit-warring with you, don't hesitate to take it to the admin who blocked him previously, who's links are accessible from LLArrow's talk page. American Horror Story season infobox images
[edit]In my opinion, you should have simply uploaded the DVD images to the poster titles, which were generically named. This would save others (not me) time by recategorizing (Category:American Horror Story images) your new upload titles. — Wyliepedia 04:15, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) I agree with CAWylie. I renamed the files especially for that purpose, to harmonize the file names and allow for any sort of art to be uploaded without specific naming requirements. Also, it is typically the DVD cover art that is used, not an image of the box set. I recommend you upload the new images to the previous files, and speedily request deletion of the new files as duplicates. Alex|The|Whovian? 04:24, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

The Walking Dead
[edit]Seems you've continued this same process, but this time on the Walking Dead articles. Multiple editors are against these edits, even coming to my talk page about them, and your talk page, and yet you continue. Either gain consensus, or you will be reported to the administrators for continued disruptive editing against consensus. Alex|The|Whovian? 00:57, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- Alex|The|Whovian, okay so you are writing these messages about the photos I uploaded because are not being used in any articles and are therefore deleted after seven days. However, on the The Walking Dead season pages, you say "Revert; please refer to the multiple posts on your talk page in regards to this." So you are kinda opposing yourself for the reason of removing the photos. Your reason was because of the multiple posts on my talk page, but the messages on the talk page says they were only there because the photos are not used in any articles. So I am confused as to what your reason was for removing the photos. Regarding the American Horror Story thing, I am only trying to help improve on these articles. Don't come here and play the strict boss because you have a problem with me replacing the outdated poster for a season, to the current DVD cover which represent the entire season. The poster should only be used when the season is airing, and then adding the DVD cover. I know I am sounding a little irritated, but that is because sometimes, the switching to the DVD cover is making people upset. I am only trying to help improve the pages, not violet and make edit errors. I am just tired of people complaining about change. Twotimer17 (talk) 01:03, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- I have read on your talk page and I see what you mean. However, I believe the DVD cover is the right photo to have as a visual representation of the season. But, instead of having the back of the DVD on the photo, I can rather cut it away so you can have a still photo. But can you instead talk to me instead of threatening to report me? Twotimer17 (talk) 01:09, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- I tried to talk to you back when you changed the images for American Horror Story, but you ignored me, so that's on you. There is consensus between both the editors involved and at WT:TV that the images don't need to be updated between promotional posters and home media releases, and if there's a great difference between the two, it should be discussed first. And they should most definitely not include the spine as a picture of the box set, rather than the cover art. If you have a guideline that states that "
[t]he poster should only be used when the season is airing, and then adding the DVD cover
, then by all means, present it. Alex|The|Whovian? 01:17, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Re: Your statement to me, 23 days ago, in response to my extremely unnecessarily aggressive response in an edit summary;
Hello, I replied 23 days ago on my talk page, but I'm guessing you might not have received it. Maybe you had, and you simply chose not to respond and took it at face value. Just in case you didn't get my response here it is as it were:
Hey, listen, you're absolutely right. You have never displayed hostile behavior towards me, and the reason I said what I did is so petty that it's not even worth mentioning. The fact that you responded to me in such a civil and professional manner tells me that not only are you a good and decent person, but that you deserve a sincere apology. Please accept my apology and allow me to retract every word I said. Honestly, I tried to retract that edit comment soon after for reasons you can probably guess, but it wouldn't let me and all that would've happened would be that I undid the specific revision with which I made those comments, with the previous edit trapped in the history forever. Please disregard what I said, at the very least I'll say it was misdirected anger, and I'd like to personally commend you on your professionalism towards me. I had an extremely rough time becoming acquainted with the internet, at no fault of my own, treated horribly, although none of that took place on Wikipedia... at least an extremely large majority did not. My resultant anger and backlash having manifested is, however, plastered all over Wikipedia through my actions and my history, for which I take full responsibility; so I especially appreciate your having given me the proverbial benefit of the doubt in your inquiry as to my bizarre and unnecessarily - almost nonsensically - hostile and passive/active aggressive comment. I really hope that we can forget this ever happened and continue to improve the page in a professional, respectful manner, in accordance with the rules, which is why you undid my revision in the first place! It is totally understandable; you were simply acting within the rules of WP in regards to references. For all you know they could have indeed been fake; it's hard for me to reach the Showtime website in my area so I was too lazy to include the actual reference and for that, I apologize as well. That is no way to conduct oneself on here, and you won't see it happen again. Once again, I'm truly sorry that my behavior had reflected a hostile attitude in response to your having done your due diligence as an editor on Wikipedia. Thank you for your kindness and I hope you'll believe that what I'm saying is the truth. Happy editing! -Bef3481(2) Bef3481(2) (talk) 19:21, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:07, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:25, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
