Mel Gibson: quotes
[edit]I had put something up about moving in the discussion area the Mel Gibson quotes to WikiQuote and it seemed to be the general feel of the editors of this article. Wikipedia is used for encyclopedic entries and WikiQuote is used for the quotes. Other bios have just a few or no quotes at all even from people more famous for their quotes (i.e. Winston Churchill, Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg) If it's not limited then there is no reasons to not put up every verifiable thing Gibson said. I think we should consider reverting back to just a few quotes and linking to WikiQuote for the rest. It keeps Wikipedia more encyclepedic.--Twintone 15:46, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- I completely agree with your edits. But I do not know that it is concensus. That is the problem. If you seek concensus, I will support your edits - except I would add one more about what acting is like. --Blue Tie 15:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
RE:Wikifying thanks
[edit]Gee thanks for that! I dont often get thanked for wikifying, anyway Im glad its up to scratch. See you around maybe --Errant Tmorton166(Talk)(Review me) 17:09, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
I have blocked this user indefinitely per your report on WP:RFI. Actually for edits like this one here you could take him straight to WP:AIV where the response time is much faster.--Konstable 09:08, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Hi, thanks for noticing and commenting on my Wikification of Mock Orange ... I really try to do the best job possible, and often the only thanks is silence, or vitriol from someone who feels they have a vested interest in whatever subject I may have happened to "mess with" ... much appreciated! Also, thank you for the user box inspiration! ;) JubalHarshaw 15:13, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Allele info on Alcoholism
[edit]Hi, Twintone. Thanks for providing the allele testing information to the alcoholism page. I've known that that exists, but haven't had time to track down references and information to it yet. Any further info you could provide would be helpful, as mentioned on that discussion page.
BTW, I noticed your long list of interests on your main page, and think that you might be interested in Intellectual Icebergs. If you listen and respond, they'll send you a brain...--Mythobeast 20:16, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Stephen Colbert
[edit]if im not mistaken, on the Colbert Report, he did mention he was raised learning jewish people had special phones, and that the high school in michigan did name their mascot after him.
why are these inapropriat additions to his wikipedia?--Shmirlywhirl 15:09, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
re: RfA
[edit]thanks Twintone, i actually hadn't considered it all that much until you said something. after reading through all the admin pages and such, i think i'd be more effective without the bucket and mop - at least for right now. i'll keep it in the back of my mind though, in case things change. :) JoeSmack Talk(p-review!) 19:36, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
p.s. and thanks for the barnstar :D
Reversion of AfD for The Waitstaff
[edit]I reverted the AfD for The Waitstaff because there is no discussion page and you didn't say why you were nominating it. If you want to renominate it you need to follow the full AfD procedure, that includes creating a deletion discussion page stating the reason for the nomination. Just one small thing...when someone's running wild like that but hasn't been warned yet, you should use {{subst:blatantvandal}} rather than {{subst:test4}}. He does seem to be enjoying himself, doesn't he? -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 21:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I'll know going forward!--Twintone 22:01, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- If you don't mind one more tip... in really extreme cases, you can use {{subst:test4im}}, which says the vandal will only get one warning. Happy hunting! Heimstern Läufer 22:04, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Phi Tau
[edit]Sorry about that remark on the Phi Kappa Tau page. I assure you it wasn't me. My password must have been compromised, as I am a brother in the Phi Kappa Tau national Fraternity. Thank You—Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebel41 (talk • contribs) 11:09, March 16, 2007
Comedians project proposal
[edit]Your project proposal for comedians at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Comedians seems to have enough interested parties to make a task force, probably of Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography. You might want to contact them to see if they would be interested in setting up such a work group. Please keep me advised of the project, so that I can ensure it is added to the Project Directory when and if it is activated. John Carter 18:50, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I made a suggestion to you about doing this a few weeks ago. Please include me in anything you do in this regard. I have been doing extensive work on comedy-related articles. --Future Fun Jumper (TIC) 22:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Fafarazzi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and put a note on Talk:Fafarazzi. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- ArglebargleIV 21:25, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
