User talk:Twinfish
A tag has been placed on N.O. Brew, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 15:28, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial material to Wikipedia, as you did to Iced coffee. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 15:29, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your message on my talk page. The reason I flagged the article was because the way in which it was worded was distinctly unencyclopaediac (sp?!) in tone, and it read more like an advert for the product than an entry should read - the same went for the amendments to Iced coffee. Moving the links to the end of the article would make a difference, but I think the article would require substantially more work.
Incidentally, it's helpful if you can sign your entries on talk pages - I've put below the standard text telling you how to do this. If you have any questions don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:42, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Signing comments
[edit]In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:43, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
