You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  MER-C 14:12, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a new user on wikipedia but by no means doing anything for advertising or promotion, I apologize if it seems that I am. Please advise how to unblock my account. Twagman (talk) 16:04, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Hi Twagman, you appear to have expressed an interest in continuing to contribute with a conflict of interest that is indistinguishable from undisclosed paid promotion. Please do not edit about family members. You might be unblocked if you promise not to continue editing about family members again, and if you make the promise credible by providing examples of different topics you would like to contribute about. If you are currently not interested in writing about other topics than Francois Chopard, you can simply do so when this changes, even after months or years. There is no deadline for making an unblock request. Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:52, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What is your connection to Francois Chopard? What do you want to edit about if unblocked? 331dot (talk) 17:44, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Francois is my husband and and I wanted to create a page for him as a surprise because he has helped so many start ups and done a lot for the aerospace community. Unblocked, I would add more external references to expand on the information about his history and path. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twagman (talkcontribs) 14:25, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I did not know that but going forward I will not write about any family members. I am interested in researching and writing biographies of living people and also about interesting areas around the world so will continue to edit and write articles along those lines. Is it possible to be unblocked? Twagman (talk) 19:47, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you to write about Francois Chopard . I'm afraid that your conflict of interest will prevent you from editing constructively. The tone of the draft is very promotional, and it is not adequately sourced. "All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Subjects must meet notability requirements such as WP:ANYBIO. Please see ToBeFee's decline above. Please tell us what constructive edits you would make. -- Deepfriedokra 23:19, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I understand and will no longer write about Francois Chopard and limit my writing to material where I have no conflict of interest. Twagman (talk) 00:05, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can I be unblocked to write articles about other people and help edit articles?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Twagman (talkcontribs) 04:08, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Twagman, you may need to provide examples for edits you would like to make unrelated to your conflict of interest, to make the promise credible. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:51, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Twagman:, what's your relationship to the "BostonCyberSec" user account here? DMacks (talk) 07:49, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DMacks (talk · contribs) I don't know who that is, should I? I just joined 3 weeks ago, started editing, tried to publish an article then was blocked. I don't have much experience here.
That other account recently created the identical page (content and formatting, etc.) at a slightly different article-name. Clearly "someone copied off someone else", so I figured I'd better ask you if you knew what was going on there. DMacks (talk) 04:52, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(talk) Oh that's interesting but he is an interesting guy so doesn't surprise me.

FYI, he says he got his content from you. Cheers, --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 02:28, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

talk) Someone reached out and asked for info on Francois and I didn't think twice about it I just sent what I had. I love Wikipedia and what you all do here and I understand you have to be vigilant but it's impossible to disprove a negative. Francois is working on incredible and innovative aerospace projects, startups and the future of mobility and travel so I thought he deserved a page. Other than showing you all my bills I don't know how to prove no one has been paid for this. I don't know why anyone would pay to do this.

Something here just doesn't ring true. "Someone reached out and asked for info on Francois" Really, now? Who exactly did this and how did they know to reach out to you? You'll need to address this and you'll need to be more forthcoming with your violations of WP:SOCK. You'll also need to convince us you understand WP:COI and WP:PROMO and tell us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 20:22, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Draft on Francois Chopard has been deleted. I would like to be unblocked now so I can continue to contribute to Wikipedia with no alleged conflict.

Your draft article, Draft:Francois Chopard

[edit]

Hello, Twagman. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Francois Chopard".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 08:35, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
