License tagging for Image:Mearl wt.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mearl wt.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:09, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Mearl wt.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mearl wt.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 18:58, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
PHOTO TAKEN BY GLENN CAMPBELL 1995
I hired and paid Glenn Campbell to take the photo. As an actor/performer, it is standard when taking new photos to use them for publicity purposes or as a calling card. So he probably owns all of his own negs as the author, but all photos can be used by me any way I choose. In addition, Mr. Campbell did not ask for photo credit, but I am willing to give it since I love his work and want others to know who did it. I apologize for any confusion my lack of web savvy may have caused as I attemped to upload an image. Tvpuppets 00:21, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Michael Earl.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Mearl.jpg. The copy called Image:Mearl.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 18:39, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:MearlEmmyPic.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:MearlEmmyPic.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

They were taken by professional photographers I hired. I own the photos. Glenn Campbell took the one above, and Mark Hussmann took the Emmy photo. Tvpuppets 16:16, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:ME Hand.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:ME Hand.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
