Orphaned non-free image (Image:Upn logo.png)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Upn logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Image:Brenda Song.jpeg

[edit]

Your Image:Brenda Song.jpeg is taken from brendasongsite.com, so should be presumed copyrighted unless there is something clear to the contrary. I see nothing to indicate it's public domain, and I've removed it from the article. Gimmetrow 04:52, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Please do not take copyrighted images from the web and use them here. Gimmetrow 04:58, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you add that image one more time without a demonstration of its non-copyrighted status, you will be blocked from editing. Gimmetrow 04:59, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[1] A non-free promtional image won't work here, because 1) there is already an image of presumably non-copyrighted status, and 2) she makes plenty of public appearances where free images could be taken. Gimmetrow 05:07, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "John Adams (book)"

[edit]

A page you created, John Adams (book), has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Jorgito0246 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Dppowell (talk) 06:12, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing fair use rationales

[edit]

The following images have been tagged as having no fair use rationale, and will be deleted after 10 July if no fair use rationale is added. See WP:RAT for more info. Kevin (talk) 12:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you removed the missing rationale tags from these. You can't do that unless you actually add a rationale. Kevin (talk) 00:22, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And again here. Please stop removing these tags. If you continue, you will possibly be blocked from editing. Kevin (talk) 03:54, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:HSN2.png

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:HSN2.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is a redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:HSN2.png|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:Flag of Mexico (1823-1864, 1867-1968).png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
