Welcome!
Hello Ttrumble, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!
- What's above is a stock welcome (which I didn't write). It's a little gushing, perhaps, but it is sincere -- you'll find that most people who edit on Wikipedia are happy to help -- maybe I should say anxious to help? -- newcomers, because there's a lot to be done and never enough people to do it.
- As it says, if you want to ask a question, ask me or any other user on his or her talk page (click on talk, or put

- You came to my attention because I watch all of the articles to which I have added photos. Thank you very much for your additions to the Youth's Companion Building. One of the things I like about Wikipedia is that you often learn unexpected things in unexpected ways.
However, I am about to touch up some of your changes. Don't take this personally -- or as something that happens just to newbies -- one of the frustrating things here that anything any of us writes will certainly be modified by others -- sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Most of the changes I am about to make to your additions are matters of style -- if you really don't like them, change them back. One change, however, is required. We do not have parallel articles on the same subject -- thus Youth's Companion Building and Pledge of Allegiance building cannot coexist. There is an easy solution, however, #REDIRECT [[Youth's Companion Building]], which will send anyone looking for the one name to the other name.
- If you are interested in historic sites, you may wish to join Project National Register of Historic Places -- just add your name to the members' list. Thanks again for all your work so far and may it continue for a long time. . . . . Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk • contribs) 15:20, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
