Puns R Us
Thank you for your fine message. I find that a little gentle humour can help build a happier community. I've been stuck in some AfDs that got very nasty, and others just appear to be a lot of pile-up and repetition. Asking people to be creative and funny (but never at the expense of the poor souls who create the soon-to-be-release articles) gets the creative juices flowing. Please let me know when you have some punny AfDs up, as I will sharpen my wit and fly in. Cheers!
Ecoleetage (talk) has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Cheers, and Happy editing!

As far as I can tell your above bot has not been flagged yet. Are you in the process of receiving WP:BAG approval? Until it is approved and flagged please do not operate it. Thanks! KnightLago (talk) 15:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks. KnightLago (talk) 15:23, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
TestEditBot reverting link disambiguation at Paarl Boys' High School
What the bleep happened here and here? Surely this isn't what the bot was supposed to do. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 14:01, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
TestEditBot
Your bot has been deflagged. It is fine to continue running it but now its edits will show up in the recent changes. BJTalk 18:38, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
New punny AfD
As per our earlier conversation on slipping puns into the AfD: [1]. Go for it! Ecoleetage (talk) 13:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- PS It appears the puns were not welcome by the article's author, who called the punters "clowns and jokers." Ouch. Ecoleetage (talk) 18:31, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
In apropriate warnings
The problem with your bot is the issuing of warnings, to registered users, reverting Vandalism by Bots. The issuing of a warning is not assuming good faith. The other Bot was supposed to be fixed after a previous case of it "Correcting" the text erroneously, So its annoying. But then if I'm going to get warnings for reverting I may as well leave all the vandalised pages for the bots to fight over and mess up. (yes the other bot started the problem, but yours compounded it) - BulldozerD11 (talk) 17:31, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

TestEditBot
You might want to change some of the coding in your bot, it just reverted a copyedit I made and warned me. jj137 (talk) 04:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Another case of TestEditBot finding text which doesn't belong in an article. tj9991 (talk | contribs) 05:27, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Whitelist
This diff implies either your bot doesn't whitelist other bots, or the function isn't working properly. Incidentally, the bot was reported to WP:AIV.--PhilKnight (talk) 19:01, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- The bot has not been blocked, and looking at the bot's recent edits, I don't think this is a common occurrence. It looks like moving the Example.jpg comment is what triggered the bot, which is perfectly understandable. Nonetheless, if there's no whitelist, now might be a good time to set one up. ;-) Cheers. - Thanks for the notification, and not jumping to blocking the bot. I'm writing in bot detection now. tj9991 (talk | contribs) 19:28, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Please check your bot
While I appreciate the work done by bots and the simple triggers it uses for criteria, I suggest that your bot should follow the same criteria as human editors. In particular, Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars. I am a longstanding editor and administrator, with over 35,000 edits. I was beginning edits to expand The Getaway (novel)[2], adding a legitimate Wikilink; as well as a slip of the fingers (''Italic text'' - which is one of the bot triggers). The bot "makes sure it doesn't include a large amount of other content" — what is that critera? In any case, a {{uw-test1}} template to a good standing editor should be reconsidered. Can you either only revert the triggered text, and/or find a non-test message for regulars? Thanks. — ERcheck (talk) 04:17, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- I note that in the bot approval, the function descripion is "Check if it matches a pre-defined list of common test edits and make sure it is the sole changed content (other than newlines) so it doesnt interfere with useful additions." (bold mine) — so it seems that the bot is not functioning as approved, if the triggers are to be the sole changed content. — ERcheck (talk) 04:23, 20 August 2008 (UTC) <- the above note to be added to the bot talk page - as it is malfunctioning according to criteria approved and other users have seen and reported the same issue, I've disable the bot. — ERcheck (talk) 04:34, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
User: 193.195.237.26
User 193.195.237.26 has been at it again - vandalism of Ormiston. Is it possible to get this user blocked from editing, as you have mention doing on his talk page? Tpacw (talk) 23:38, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply, and the advice - never mind! Tpacw (talk) 09:25, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Allegory of the cave
I see that your image has been removed on the grounds that it isn't professional looking enough. I dunno, you do your best to create something and what thanks to you get from people! Anyway I am here to thank you and tell you that I intend to create a new image, based on your one, but a bit prettier. Naturally I will credit you as a co-creator.
