Orphaned non-free image File:Gia Romania.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Gia Romania.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:44, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Vandi_Greatest_Hits_Deluxe.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Vandi_Greatest_Hits_Deluxe.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Closedmouth (talk) 12:11, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Vandi
[edit]Hello. There was a consensus by several editors to keep the information on Vandi, as long as the specific publisher or author is cited when there are not several sources representing a general opinion. Anyway, most of the claims have several sources backing them up, including about her popularity being in decline, which is backed up by three reliable sources, so you cannot continue to take them out. Also please provide an edit summary when reverting, otherwise your edits could be considered vandalism.GreekStar12 (talk) 15:39, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Pop Corns
[edit]Could you provide a scan of the pages that say that she has won these awards? The Down Town issue was in March 2002 and the 2001 Pop Corns were not held until the end of April 2002, so had she not in fact won the awards you are saying she did, her statement would have been completely justified. Are you sure that she actually won those awards and they weren't just nominations? Thinking logically, Vandi's award and critical history in addition to the statement she made makes me believe she has only won three, and it would be pretty dumb of an artist to completely forget about four major awards they have won. In either case, you need to source your information, meaning you must provide the title of the article, author, publisher, publication date, and page number, users don't have to just take your word for it.GreekStar12 (talk) 22:31, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Wow Vandi forgot her own awards lol:p Thank you so much for posting that! I believe you about the other two awards and I will fix accordingly but the sources are still needed. I would still like to see the other scans though. Are there any other pages to the 1999 awards (I can't read what it says, is it the 5th ceremony?)? I would really appreciate if you could post any other Pop Corns with award winners that you have whenever you can, because it would really be useful for other artists as well and possibly creating a page for the Pop Corns, as there is currently little information out there. Also, would you happen to have the end of decade issue by Down Town where they list the best of the decade? I've seen it on Rouvas' site and Vandi, Hatzigiannis, and Paparizou are also on the cover but their articles are not shown. Thanks. GreekStar12 (talk) 23:30, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Edit warring on Despina Vandi
[edit]I have protected Despina Vandi and Despina Vandi discography from editing indefinitely, until efforts are made to resolve this dispute by discussion. I am trying to kick start the process by asking for a statement from all involved parties on their position in this dispute. Please leave a statement at Talk:Despina Vandi#Ending this edit war stating (a) what you want from this dispute, and (b) why you want it. References to policies and guidelines will strengthen your position. CT Cooper · talk 10:27, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
Zero tolerance rule
[edit]Following a lack of input from multiple parties at Talk:Despina Vandi#Ending this edit war, I have reduced the protection on Despina Vandi and Despina Vandi discography to semi-protection. However, to prevent edit warring resuming again, a "zero tolerance rule" on enforcement of the Wikipedia:Edit warring policy is being put in place on both articles. The terms are below:
- A blanket final warning is given to all parties of this dispute on edit warring to apply indefinitely.
- A "zero tolerance rule" will apply to any further edit warring on either articles. Any further reverts (reversing another editors edits in whole or in part) on either article will result in a block of at least 24 hours for the editor(s) responsible, regardless of whether 3RR has been breached, or if the number of reverts is one or more. Significant leeway however will be given when:
- The reverting editor has recently commented on the article talk page, and the user they are reverting has not done so.
- For the very narrow range of edits exempt from 3RR.
- All parties in this dispute are being notified of the "zero tolerance rule" via their user talk page (hence this message), and will have this apply to them once this has been done. Any new editor that attempts to edit war on these articles will be notified about the "zero tolerance rule" personally before it will apply to them.
- An edit notice has been created as an additional reminder about the "zero tolerance rule".
Please see Talk:Despina Vandi#Zero tolerance for further details. CT Cooper · talk 12:00, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Mou 'His Perasi
[edit]Hey Tsironick, I just thought I'd let you know that I saw your article Mou 'His Perasi in the New Articles list-- I'm kind of new here myself but let me know if there is any way I can help. Thanks, Amy Z (talk) 05:27, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Based on this edit, it seems you may not be aware of WP:NCMAC. If you could take a few mins to familiarize yourself with this policy, that would be great. Thanks! Dolescum (talk) 08:16, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Despina Vandi - De Me Stamatises.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Despina Vandi - De Me Stamatises.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Vandi-wma.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Vandi-wma.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:35, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:10, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
