Garage merge

[edit]

Hey, just wanted to say nice one for being bold and doing something about that Garage (dance music) fiasco. Someone needed to eventually! Keep up the good work. - Zeibura S. Kathau (Info | Talk) 02:04, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Photek - Form and Function Vol 2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Photek - Form and Function Vol 2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:25, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

True Steppa, there is no adequate information about "funky house." The data is vague and doesn't mention it. You probably made it up. Also, the electronic music styles provides data on the music genre. So, it stays. Fclass (talk) 15:56, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is only your opinion. Martin Clark is a respectable journalist (The Guardian, Pitchfork, Vice Magazine etc) ...and read the WP:LINKS.--True Steppa (talk) 18:43, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is not an opinion. The information is vague, inadequate, and there's no mention of "funky house." Also, Martin Clark's respectability is not an issue. If you keep adding it, I will keep deleting it. Fclass (talk) 21:49, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"If you keep adding it, I will keep deleting it" - such destructive acts are called vandalism.--True Steppa (talk) 01:44, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, the information is inadequate and vague. It doesn't mention "funky house" anywhere. Where's the history? Seriously, it doesn't have good data. Also, the links don't work well, and it's not an opinion. Just stop, man. Fclass (talk) 14:18, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do not delete the electronic music styles external link. It's fine, unlike your madde-up mess. The "funky house" page has no relevant and adequate data and it's vague. It doesn't present anything about it. So, knock it off. Fclass (talk) 18:39, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit War

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:UK garage. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 19:53, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss the matter before reverting further. There is discussion ongoing at the Administrator's Noticeboard related to this topic. Thank you! UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 20:05, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Still haven't learned your lesson, huh? Fclass (talk) 14:34, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2-step garage

[edit]

i knew that article used be better :) - i was actually just starting on trying to improve the, shall we say, 'russian remix of it' when i saw your revert - nice one. i've even tried to compromise with the guy on the dubstep infobox, without much result. and as for dark 2-step, don't get me started. it passed a perhaps hasty RfD i initiated, but i think i might nominate it for a merge. --Kaini (talk) 22:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

np man :) i think we should merge dark 2-step with 2-step or move it to the UK garage article under the name "dark garage" (with dark 4x4) --True Steppa (talk) 22:57, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, it's annoying. i've left messages on his talk page with no response. today he reverted about 15 small edits i made to dubstep, which really ticked me off. sysop filelakeshoe is keeping an eye on the situation in case it gets out of hand. --Kaini (talk) 19:26, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
i've requested comment on all this over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Electronic music#Edit wars at dubstep, 2-step garage, and Bassline house. wickethewok keeps an eye on that, and is usually pretty on-point about this stuff. --Kaini (talk) 21:26, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
hey man, don't get too stressed about this edit war. what the articles contain is not the end of the world. you might want to comment over at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Sweeping edits to many electronic music articles - a much more active page than the wikiproject one. --Kaini (talk) 22:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
do you think our friend is back? if so, perhaps one of us should mention this at [1] or [2]? --00:23, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

good stuff

[edit]

nice work! a lot of redlinks but still i look at it as a good jumping-off point. your work improving uk garage-based articles has been tireless. so you deserve like a million rewinds!

A tag has been placed on Groove Chronicles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —0xF8E8 (talk) 19:50, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
