Re: Sock puppetry case
[edit]Hi there Alexandria, my account has been accused of sock puppetry. Yes I am running two accounts (see case) but I am not using them inappropriately. Could you please rectify this. Thank you Trouble For Me (talk) 21:38, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- You're a match to Mirrored Love, it's more than "two accounts" as you claim. Alexandria (talk) 21:45, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
I did specify Alexandria that I also share my IP address with a number of people. And I personally have only ever use those two accounts. I am not lying or being deceitful, please unblock me and my account In My Arms and my IP address. Trouble For Me (talk) 21:52, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. [edit]User:Elockid hi, I can clarify this. I am sorry that I created an account under a block. This was not specified to me at the time and I sincerely did not know that I wasn't allowed to. And yes I have operated both accounts in the same public place, but merely as I was editing a Kylie and Britney articles. Otherwise I have not used my account inappropriately (which when I did was without the knowledge that I was). Besides I also use it for privacy reasons to not give away my identity and not cause any controversy on certain subjects. I also share my IP address with a number of people. - You can request an unblock as noted by the block template above. Examples of a block reason can be found at Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks. For future reference, if you are concerned about privacy, you can disclose your other account privately to the WP:Arbitration Committee for example. You can contact them with this email address arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org. I recommend that you get the sanction lifted first. Elockid (Talk) 22:09, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind reply User:Elockid. I will do my best to follow your advice. :)

Request reason:
I would like to appeal my block as although I have operated two accounts I have never used them to inappropriately edit. I have never used them to prove a point or garner followers. Trouble For Me (talk) 22:21, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You were caught socking before, but figured "what the heck, I'll do it again"? Once allowed to return to edit after 1 sock block, you're pretty much limited to one account, total. The fact that it appears that you edited the same articles from different userid's from the same IP clinches the inappropriate use for me (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 00:34, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Please explain to us why you felt the need to operate more than one account. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:58, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
User:Anthony Bradbury After my IP address was blocked due to another user abusing various accounts. I felt the need to create two accounts in order to reestablish good faith when editing on my behalf. I decided to create two accounts for two separate subjects. The only accounts I have ever edited under are In My Arms and Trouble For Me. I also felt the need to create two accounts for security and privacy reasons as I sometimes use my account on a public wifi system. Please understand that I never have and never intend to use both accounts inappropriately. And once, unblocked, I intend to work both accounts with WP:Arbitration Committee to further ensure such accusations are not reoccurring. Please unblock Trouble For Me and In My Arms as I use these accounts appropriately. Please unblock my IP address as it is also used by multiple users. Thank You. - You just completely ingored by argument. I admit I have two accounts. I have never used either inappropriately. I am not related to you're other suspected socks. How/why would anyone create that many accounts! How rude for just arrogantly ignoring by argument. Then you have sincere people on her who actually support you, such as User:Elockid who actually wants to help me and gives constructive advice. Trouble For Me (talk) 01:11, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

As an uninvolved admin, I have to say there are far too many coincidences here for these to be operated by multiple people. The fact that the accounts were created so quickly with a theme of lyrics or song titles from the musicians whose articles are being edited, the fact that they all tended to head towards an area where Mirrored Love was having issues, and a similar discussion style among all of them all lead me to see nothing wrong with the checkuser findings. And I'm just saying User talk:Jpgordon that IP address is used by multiple users. And I personally have only ever operated 'In My Arms' and 'Trouble For Me' whislt never using them inappropriately. I can't believe I have had to look up all this rubbish after only recently registering my accounts!Trouble For Me (talk) 02:58, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
