Deleting Amy Lynn Best
[edit]Well, no, unfortunately I can't just delete these pages. They don't meet any of the Speedy Deletion criteria. Mike Watt (writer) was deleted as the result of a PROD and has been recreated. Amy Lynn Best appears to be connected to him and the article was also deleted by PROD and recreated. If you really want them deleted, you'll have to bring them to Articles for Deletion (AfD) and have the community take a look at them. They both appear very undersourced at the moment. Take a look at WP:DEL#REASON to see if you think they meet any criteria. If you want to nominate the articles yourself, the process is described here. I'd be willing to initiate the process at your request, particularly if you offered me a valid reason to do so. I'll state up front that "advertising" probably won't get too far as a reason in an AfD. There are no obvious advertising connections in these articles. Promotional in nature perhaps but not adverts. Drop a note if you want to pursue this. Cheers, Pigman☿ 18:17, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Addendum: Re-created PRODded articles can be PRODded again if you wish. But I don't have authority to immediately delete an article previously deleted through a PROD without a Speedy Deletion reason. If the articles had been recreated after an AfD, they could probably be deleted as "recreation of material previously deleted through AfD" which is a perfectly valid reason for an admin to delete such an article. Hope that's clear. Pigman☿ 18:23, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Tromatical, you have no idea what you are talking about. My name will be cleared of this false charge and you and that other person will be shown to being quite foolish. I look forward to my being shown for what I am. A genuine film critic with a viable opinion. Have an excellent day, sir (or ma'am, damn internet!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dwaltzwriter (talk • contribs) 12:55, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
