- Regarding your edits to the George W. Bush article, could you please discuss them on the talk page. Izehar (talk) 13:19, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
I think it is a valid one - unfortunately, that article has been subjected to repeated vandalism, so most users now, out of habit, will revert edits by new or anonymous users on sight. That's why in my opinion, you should leave your proposal on the talk page, and ask a user who has been here for longer to make the change. You probably know that all articles aren't treated this way, it's just this one; check its edit history to see why. Izehar (talk) 13:48, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:MarcM.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MarcM.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 13:29, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
ArbCom questions
[edit]Hi. I'm Ral315, editor of the Wikipedia Signpost. We're interviewing all ArbCom candidates for an article this week, and your response is requested.
- What positions do you hold (adminship, mediation, etc.), on this or other wikis?
- Have you been involved in any arbitration cases? In what capacity?
- Why are you running for the Arbitration Committee?
- How do you feel the Arbitration Committee has handled cases and other situations over the last year? Can you provide an examples of situations where you feel the Committee handled a situation exceptionally well, and why? Any you feel they handled poorly, and why?
- What is your opinion on confidentiality? If evidence is submitted privately to the Committee, would you share it with other parties in the case? Would you make a decision based on confidential information without making it public?
- Why do you think users should vote for you?
Please respond on my talk page. We'll probably go to press on Tuesday, but late responses will be added as they're submitted. Thanks, Ral315 (talk) 10:25, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Arbcom Election
[edit]Hi. I've formatted your questions for the candidate page, here; you'll want to look those questions over and answer them, so that editors have an idea of the sort of arbitrator you'd be. This is particularly important given that you only have 147 edits as of this morning. Even though there is not an official requirement to become a candidate (though there was discussion of a 1,000 edit minimum), it is unlikely in the extreme that an editor with so few edits will be elected by the community. This isn't a criticism of you or your edits - just that there aren't really enough of them to properly judge how well you would do as an arbitrator. In any event, Good luck with your candidacy - and please feel free to ping my talk page if you have any questions, or if I can be of assistance. link on your userpage is broken
[edit]the TRACKING 2008 link on your userpage is pointing to a domain that has expired. It only has a page from a domain reseller. --Enric Naval (talk) 01:38, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Sick Animation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sick Animation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cind.amuse 10:05, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Nomination of Sick Animation for deletion
[edit]The article Sick Animation is being discussed concerning whether it is suitable for inclusion as an article according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Cind.amuse 10:36, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Pktcrest.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Pktcrest.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:17, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
