Judge Thomas R. Mulroy is an Illinois state court judge hearing cases in the Commercial Section of the Law Division in the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. He is also the supervising judge of the Mandatory Arbitration Program of the Commercial Section.Judge Mulroy has been on the court since 2007 and has sat in the Chancery Division and the Law Division. He is an active trial judge who has tried over 200 cases, both jury and bench trials, and has written more than 600 legal opinions.
The mandatory arbitration program in the Commercial Section is the first of its kind in Illinois and allows litigants with cases valued at $75,000 or less to arbitrate their matters. (Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Oct. 10, 2016)
The Circuit Court of Cook County is the largest of the 24 circuits in Illinois and one of the largest unified court systems in the United States. More than 2.4 million cases are filed in Cook County court every year. Judge Mulroy was a Partner in the Virginia based law firm McGuire Woods from 2003 – 2007 and was chair of the firm's Chicago office litigation section. Prior to joining McGuire Woods he was a partner in the Chicago law firm of Jenner & Block for twenty-five years where he was the chair of the firm's finance committee and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He was also chair of the Firm's product liability group and intellectual property group. Judge Mulroy began his legal career as an Assistant United States Attorney in Chicago in 1972 and was a member of the United States' Attorney's Appellate Division and Criminal Division. While a lawyer, Judge Mulroy was a commercial and criminal defense counsel and tried criminal and civil jury cases in federal and state courts in Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri and Kentucky involving: breach of contract, fraud, real estate, products liability, environmental, negligence, patent infringement, probate, securities, accounting, anti-trust, real estate, limited partnership, closely-held corporations and white collar criminal defense.

Judge Mulroy has been Special Counsel for the Illinois Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission (1990) and was a member of its Inquiry and Hearing Boards. The Attorney Disciplinary Commission is an administrative agency of the Illinois Supreme Court of Illinois which assists the Court in regulating the Illinois legal profession through attorney registration, education, investigation, prosecution and remedial action. It maintains a list of lawyers authorized to practice law which is available to the public. Judge Mulroy was President of the Chicago Bar Association from 2017 to 2018. Founded in 1874, The Chicago Bar Association is one of the oldest and most active metropolitan bar associations in the United States. The Association's voluntary membership of 22,000 consists largely of lawyers and judges from Cook County and the State of Illinois. The purposes and objectives of the Association are to establish and maintain the honor and dignity of the profession of the law and to promote the general welfare of the members thereof, particularly by sponsoring and supporting continuing legal education programs covering new developments in all fields of law; to cultivate social relationships among its members; to increase the usefulness of the legal profession in promoting the due administration of justice and the public good.
He was President of Loyola Law School's Board of Governors. Loyola University Chicago was established by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) as St. Ignatius College in 1870, the year before the Great Chicago Fire. In 1908, a group of prominent Chicago lawyers established the Lincoln College of Law which became the Loyola University Law Department, a name that was retained until the 1920s. It was the university's first professional school.
Judge Mulroy has also been active in: the American Bar Association as Chair of the Civil Procedure & Evidence Committee and in the Chicago Bar Association where he has been a member of the Committee on Evaluation of Judicial Candidates (1981-1985), the Amicus Curiae Committee, the Committee to Evaluate Federal Judges (1989), the Commercial Law Committee, the Criminal Law Committee and the Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee.
Judge Mulroy has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law, trial practice, Loyola University (1983-2001), Northwestern University (1979-1983; 1985 1987) and DePaul University (1986; 1987; 1989). He was also a Lecturer at Northwestern School of Law on the topic "Scientific Evidence" (1996-1998).

Judge Mulroy attended the University of Santa Clara, California (BA 1968) and Loyola University School of Law, Chicago (JD 1972).
Judge Mulroy's father was Thomas R. Mulroy a name partner in the law firm Hopkins Sutter Owen Mulroy Wentz & Davis. The Chicago based law firm was in business 1921 to 2000, when it merged with Milwaukee-based Foley & Lardner. The firm was established by Albert Hopkins and Harry Sutter. Hopkins had worked for two years at the Interstate Commerce Commission and for one year with the predecessor to the Internal Revenue Service while Sutter was tax counsel to the Guaranty Trust Company of New York. In 1923 the firm opened an office in Washington, D.C.. Hopkins also operated an office in Detroit, Michigan. The firm was known for its expertise in tax, insurance, public policy and transportation finance work. The firm merged with Foley & Lardner in 2000.
His wife, Elaine M. Mulroy is a realtor at Caldwell Banker.(coldwellbanker.com) Judge Mulroy's son Thomas III, is a partner in the law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C. His daughter, Heather Guillen, is co-founder and manager of The Standard Society a company which represents directors and other artist in the production of advertisements. Kevin Mulroy is in the creative department of DDB in New York, a worldwide marketing communications network. It is owned by Omnicom Group,Inc., one of the world's largest advertising holding companies.

About "Wikipedia:Autobiography" and "Wikipedia:Notability (people)"

Sir, it appears you have created some Wikipedia content about yourself. This is strongly discouraged: see Wikipedia:Autobiography for more information.
The tests for inclusion of Wikipedia web-pages (called "articles" in Wikipedia jargon) about people are quite strict. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) and the subsection politicians and judges.
Please see Circuit Court of Cook County: at present the only current or former members of that honorable court to have a Wikipedia articles are Timothy C. Evans and Dorothy A. Brown, and this is because they have met other tests for inclusion, as politicians. Sir, with greatest respect, it does not appear that an article about his Honour Mr Mulroy meets the criteria for inclusion as a Wikipedia article.
