Hello, Triadian, and welcome to the USRD-CRWP Cup. This is just a reminder that the contest will start at 00:00 UTC on Saturday (about 4 PM Pacific and about 7 PM Eastern on Friday). Nominations must be made after that time to count for the contest.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Taxpayer March on Washington. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. I see you're working on the 9 12 project article. Triadian, I'd like to clarify something since I may be coming across the wrong way here. I almost exclusively edit politically controversial articles, and have found that sticking to the rules rather rigidly leads to less bickering and POV-pushing. I have put a lot of work into Glenn Beck and Taxpayer March on Washington, and I would very much like to make sure that this article, if appropriate to exist, is of high quality. 100 North Main Street

I don't know that it was such a good idea to change the name in some of the articles. Everyone knows what Wachovia Center was. No one will know what 100 North Main Street is. I was looking at this one source and didn't know what the heck had happened. I certainly saw no coverage of the name change. You want them to HAVE to click on the link? I guess it's a matter of perspective. I just find it redundant to have one pipe link to the other, but it doesn't really matter I suppose. The point that I'm trying to convey is that the building is no longer called Wachovia Center. You're right, I can't really find any coverage of the name changing. All I know from all my sources is that the name has in fact changed with the most recent handover to SL Winston Salem company. No articles after this handover show that it's called Wachovia Center anymore and even Emporis has made the switch. Now, as for the people not knowing what 100 N Main Street is, I guess that is their fault and yes I would expect them to click on the link. If you want you can say something like "...100 North Main Street, formerly Wachovia Center,..." in some articles to prevent confusion, that's fine with me. Most of the changes I made to your edits were where you had written something like "are found in the former Wachovia Center". When you use the word "former" like that, you infer that the building no longer exists (demolished, etc), not that the name has just changed. --Triadian (talk) 23:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Misspelled town name in an image you created...

File:Northcarolinaareacodes.gif uses the name "Morgantown", but the name of the town should be Morganton. A concerned user brought the issue up at WP:HD, and since you created the file, I thought I would pass the situation on to you. Toodles! --Jayron32 19:00, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

I used 'upload a new version'. That replaces the old file with the new one, so no change is needed on the articles.

Actually, due to a glitch, I had to upload it twice. You'll see, in File:Northcarolinaareacodes.gif under "file history", the 3 entries.

2019 US Banknote Contest

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
