[edit]Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Village Green (song), without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Tkbrett (✉) 16:07, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
- I added as many sources as there were for the previous genre listing. Beyond that does the passage from the article "the ... instrumentation of "Village Green" evoke Baroque music, ... featured harpsichord played by session keyboardist Nicky Hopkins.... it employs real orchestral instruments, including oboe, cello, viola and piccolo, as arranged by English composer David Whitaker." not suggest that it is in fact, Baroque pop? Nonetheless, sources for that claim are on their way. Treydaprogdude (talk) 03:55, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Village Green (song), you may be blocked from editing. Tkbrett (✉) 20:30, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- The content is not poorly sourced as I'm using a source that you have already cited within the article. The song is described in many of the sources added before my edits as pop influenced by baroque music. I would consult the main article on Baroque Pop to see how other Baroque Pop songs like Walk Away Renée and A Whiter Shade of Pale are discussed in the sources pertaining to genre classification. You are certainly entitled to your view of what genre the song is. However, the sources speak for themselves. Editing the article to reflect this is in no way vandalism. Stop reverting well-sourced and germane edits.
- I will add a section on the talk page of the article to better address the issue in good faith. Treydaprogdude (talk) 20:52, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please review WP:EXPLICITGENRE. Nowhere in the source you added is the song described as "Baroque pop". In fact, Moore never even uses those words together in his book. Your addition amounts to original research. Tkbrett (✉) 20:59, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

- If a song is described as Baroque influenced Pop, it is not original research to express that in the infobox of the song. You have repeatedly been hostile to any changes made on this article forcing me to drop any assumption of good faith on your part. I'm not the only person you've done this to on the article.
