disruptive edits

[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to John Howard. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. See also Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point Peter Ballard 07:34, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers mate, but i think it was clear in my edit that it was an obvious 'vandalism' which would have been reverted. This is a huge media topic right now and had to be demonstrated

Yes. But it seems your edit was done to prove anyone can edit wikipedia. Of course anyone can edit wikipedia; you don't need to make disruptive edits to prove this! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rothery (talkcontribs) 12:56, August 24, 2007 (UTC)

Good, but you clearly are too stuck in your own tech goodness to realise that the MAJORITY of the population DONT KNOW THAT!!!

Maybe the majority of the idiots who use whatever media outlet you work for. Rothery 23:48, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
in fact NO, i did a comprehensive search to check that. You all need to just calm down...
Well, if I were you I might have done the same thing, as I wouldn't put much faith in talkback listeners, as I see you don't. Next time you do a segment about petrol prices maybe you better go to a mechanic to make sure that cars really do rely on the combustion of fuel to travel. [edit]

File:September 21 - Airbus A380 Qantas 146.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:September 21 - Airbus A380 Qantas 146.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:September 21 - Airbus A380 Qantas 146.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:58, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Joe Hildebrand has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The article Joe Hildebrand has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

BLP article lacks any third-party sources supporting the notability of the subject. Twitter and information coming from places he contributes to are not reliable sources for this article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Joe Hildebrand, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Tiffany Cherry Publicity Photo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tiffany Cherry Publicity Photo.jpg, which you've attributed to Publicity Photo of Tiffany Cherry. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LGA talkedits 06:24, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
