RE: Seriously
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your feedback. The reason why I have been reverting those edits is because the edits of a genre warring individual that go without an explanation are reverted. That is how it goes. Also, reasoning such as "The record IS CLEARLY is more progressive than alternative, there's barely anything alternative in most of the songs" will never be passed off as an acceptable reason to change genres, because such an explanation breaches principles of original research, point of view, verifiability, and many others. How can you precisely tell that there is "more progressive elements than alternative elements", and what is a surefire way of determining that? Nothing, but sources can at least help with that. Also, I am not necessarily arguing for the album being "alternative"; I am just wanting the descrpition to be constant, consistent, and certain (certain as in what description it wants to express, and not necessarily pleasing everyone). When genre changing happens all the time, this consistency and certainty of information is elusive. However, if consensus is reached and a solid result of the genre displays are decided upon, then constance, consistency, and certainty have a greater chance of being instilled there. I won't delve into more detail on this talk page, but for more information concerning this and similar behavior, you can consult this essay, as well as similar essays linked on that page.
I appreciate that you at least posted some reasoning on my talk page, even if the reasoning was purely subjective and unverifiable (seriously, you won't believe how many people actually omit not supplying reasons and/or sources). While your supplied reasoning goes against said Wikipedia guidelines, and, let me emphasize again, is completely subjective and unverifiable, I still will decide not to revert your most recent edit for the sake of consistency and solidity, as well as for the sake of not being a genre warrior and discouraging genre warrng activity. I actually do not care at all about how "progressive" or "alternative" the album is, because not only is it frivolous to debate about that, but I also have greater concerns on Wikipedia and in real life. If I continue to see genre warring on that page, however, I won't be afraid to remove that area of the infobox entirely; sometimes, for individual cases, that may be a necessary step, if the area is devoid of any meaningful discussion, consensus, or amicable relations. - PS: For future reference, messages on talk pages go to the bottom of the page, since that is Wikipedia custom. Also, the passage "So please just stop! I'm sorry but you're really getting on my nerves. So please...STOP!!!" is a little repetitve. It was okay the first time you told me to "stop" or "STOP!!", but I got the idea well before the third time you stated that command in the same short message. Non-free rationale for File:ToolNetofBeing.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ToolNetofBeing.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. [edit]Hello, I'm Werieth. I noticed that you recently removed some content from File:10000 Days.jpg without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of File:ToolNetofBeing.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:ToolNetofBeing.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
