Hi avs5221, could you give me some examples of 2ndary sources? I thought all the direct citing would be correct? Happy to go look, but I'm not sure what they are. I read the article you mentioned, but still have no idea. If you could give me some examples then I'm happy to oblige! Thanks Tpsl2 (talk) 08:59, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Hi there,
A number of your sources were tertiary in the sense that all they did was catalogue existing pieces of work. In particular, the NLA sources just denote that his works do in fact exist. Similar sources that provide summary biographical detail are also not sufficient.
That said, a secondary source would entail, for instance, and article that talks about the composer's works (such as a feature or analysis of some sort) or how his work has affected others. In particular, look at sources and ask the question, "does this article help demonstrate the composer's notability?" Don't overthink it. It will be apparent if the article meets that criteria.
Please also see WP:COMPOSER for more information about notability.
Cheers.
