IRC office hours for wiki-mentors and Snuggle users

I lived in Scone for a long while and know how important it is to the people that live there and they are proud of the towns nickname of 'horse capital of Australia, it is also a known fact around Australia that this is the nickname for Scone.

Osseointegration page

Hi Tow,

I am not intending to place inappropriate links. I was creating a page for Dr Al Muderis and thought it was interesting to add this information to the Osseointegration page. As I am new to wikipedia i'm not understanding what I am doing wrong. Apologies! I will try to work it out.

Editing The Family Rain Page

Hi there,

Whilst as label respresentatives we do appreciate that we might have quite a particular account of the artist in terms of content that should and should not be on the artist's page - but we do really want the best for our artists and for them not to be portayed unfairly.

The issue that we have here is that someone who is clearly close to the band from their past has jumped on the page with facts that deserve a very passing reference at most and have made them take up a substantial past of the relatively new band's (already fairly small) wikipedia entry to make them look silly. This is not neutral behaviour!

We believe that they are doing this deliberately to embarass them, referencing a one off "tour dates" webpage to back the facts up with a quote.

It's not a good look for the band. Is there no way we can have it changed?

CSD A3 is not to be used for WP:Soft redirects

Wikipedia:CSD#A3 says for "Any article (other than disambiguation pages, redirects, or soft redirects)...", I can't remove the speedies, request you do or use some other criteria. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:19, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Soft redirects are explicitly excluded from A3. I am contesting the deletion for that reason but admins seldom check the talk page before speedy. I am adding the links to avoid redlinks to personal names for actors in an TV series article mainly to identify the actual person and avoid inline external links in article. This should be a valid use for soft redirects. I can't remove speedy tags for articles I created. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:29, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Erika Winters, review

Hi Tow, thanks for your comments on my article, I have made changes to my resources in order to better support my document. In addition I have been working with the "live help" in order to do such changes. It is important to mention that about 4 sources are form Erika´s website but please note that such site shows the "elsewhere" actual magazine or newspaper since such are no longer available in line but were published as a hard copy on the given dates. I will appreciate if you can take a look at the article to see if there is any update needed. I would really love to have such article in wiki, thanks for your support.
