Cloud Gate editing

There is an IP that keeps making drastic changes to Cloud Gate. Are you watching?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 21:57, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

I have been. I reverted another of his edits recently, then took a couple of his valid edits and incorporated them into my latest edit to the article. I hope that puts an end to his interest in the article. --TorsodogTalk 22:46, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
How are you feeling about pursuing WP:FAC for this one?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:24, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm feeling pretty good about it. Let me give it one more big look over tomorrow just to see if I think anything can be added (I invite you to do the same). Then, barring any big oversights, I'll probably nominate it sometime next week. --TorsodogTalk 04:29, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

I took my last look through the Millennium Park book. I think we've got everything we need in the article now. They show the final cost at only 20 Million as of January 2006. Can you cite the cost numbers you show and the no public funding statement.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:48, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
I just noticed one source says the arch is 9 ft and another says it is 12 ft. We also need to resolve this detail before going to FAC.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:55, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Exiled Ambition

Hi, I saw your recent comment on User:Exiled Ambition's talk page. Thanks for putting your two cents in...he's created a lot of controversy on Wikipedia (especially in his previous "incarnation" as User:Darin Fidika), and no one seems to be willing to take any concrete stance regarding him. I've tried reasoning with him, as have a lot of people, but he doesn't seem to listen-- or says he'll change his habits and then doesn't. What, if anything, can be done? -Tadakuni (talk) 05:55, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, I really do not know. I know he has been banned once before but simply returned under his new moniker. I also know that he has not only rattled the cages of many Wikipedia users in general, but very knowledgeable ones as well, and yet he still exists on the site. I think since he isn't technically doing the things he is doing out of malice or ill will, it is very hard to discipline him in any way. Unfortunately for us, however, he also seems to be impossible to talk to and even harder to educate, so he simply continues on with his shockingly prolific, sub par edits. To my knowledge, the only thing we can do is keep an eye on him. If you ever get anything going though, please let me know and I will help in anyway I can. --TorsodogTalk 06:03, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
I see...well, thanks for your response, and I'll let you know if I do get anything going (I left a comment on User:Hoary's page, too). I've been trying to plug stuff into these articles and get them at least half-decent, but most of ExiledAmbition's stuff deals with the Sengoku era, which is not an era I have many print resources on (I specialize in mid to late Edo era). So I'm forced to find internet resources in Japanese. Thing is, more often than not, the people he'll create articles on will be of very minor importance, so there won't be much at all out there even in Japanese. I admit, some of the articles I created are not too dissimilar in size, but the ones I create are mainly biography stubs of Edo-era daimyo, who I would think are of more historical consequence than minor samurai in the Sengoku era. Anyway...enough for now. Again, thanks; and do keep up the good work. -Tadakuni (talk) 06:09, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hoary has weighed in here. -Tadakuni (talk) 14:03, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

More thanks

Thanks for the efforts with the following:

BP Pedestrian Bridge FAC

Do you want to co-nom BP Pedestrian Bridge as well?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 22:45, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

While I did much, much less work on that article when compared to you, I would happily co-nom if you would let me. Also, Cloud Gate has been HEAVILY edited withing the last two days by a couple of new editors. Overall, I think there are some good edits, but at the same time I believe they removed some very relevant information. So, in short, I think its going to be a bit longer until that article is ready for FAC. --TorsodogTalk 22:59, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Glad to have you on board. Come do a copyedit or something to get acquainted with the article.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 13:06, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I have posted the nomination at WP:FAC.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 06:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mol logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mol logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Crown Fountain controversy section

Please comment towards the bottom of the discussion on the controversy section. Third party opinions are needed.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:14, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your opinion. Opinions are needed on the WP:RS status of one source and on the description of Kamin at the bottom of the current discussion.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 23:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Image:Music Float during Sanja Matsuri.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is a redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Music Float during Sanja Matsuri.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pritzker Pavilion

I am beginning to think your earlier thoughts that the Jay Pritzker Pavilion was one of the better FA candidates out of WP:CHIFTD may be right. When you first said it the article had just survived a WP:GAR reassessment and I was thinking that it was barely a WP:GA. I would certainly appreciate any assistance at improving the article. A copyedit and assistance at finding further details would be great.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:58, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Ya, we've been having a hard time here, haven't we. Let's both go over the Pavilion article a couple times before we nominate it to hopefully make its nomination go a bit smoother than the last couple. Lollapalooza is this weekend however and I will be attending, so I probably won't get to copy edit until sometime Sunday night. I will for sure though, so just give me a few days. I'll come through. As a side note, did you see someone put up Cloud Gate for GA reassessment...? It was nominated by a new user, and my gut feeling is that it is one of the IPs who made an account name real quick to do the deed. So unfortunately that article is going to be in editing hell for awhile, I think. --TorsodogTalk 03:11, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Dude, you should start posting things on my talk page. This is important and I am just finding out about it.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 17:52, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
BTW, if you get a chance you might review the Financial Times and San Francisco Chronicle for references to Cloud Gate. Beefing up the article with other reputable publications might help this issue. I hope to look more closely at it tomorrow.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 21:32, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
It looks like every article that mentions Cloud gate also mentioned Crown Fountain so I may have already reference all the articles from these sources.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 20:49, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
In response to your post at WT:FLC (which I just noticed)

This is one of those tricky grey area lists, but I would consider it an article. The table takes up less than half of the page and it isn't the main focus/centerpiece of the article. -- Scorpion0422 19:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Video sculpture

You should create a wikipedia page for the term.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 17:49, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Ha, after I posted that response I was walking away from the computer thinking "wow, there should an article about that term..." I think I will when I get home from work tonight. --TorsodogTalk 17:55, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
You may want to use some of the other references User:Tyrenius mentioned during the discussion. With a few different sources you could get a successful WP:DYK nomination.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 03:12, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
I probably will. I simply didn't have the time tonight. Look for them tomorrow though! --TorsodogTalk 04:40, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Portal:Japan

Need help with this portal? Bewareofdog 04:03, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes! I would love some help with this portal. For the most part, I've set up all of the systems needed to make it a great portal, but I simply don't have the time to add all the contend needed for weekly updates. Anything you are willing to do would be great. --TorsodogTalk 04:13, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

I did some work on Portal:Japan/Selected article. I'm going to add the other articles soon. Bewareofdog 05:00, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Good job with the portal. Bewareofdog 23:10, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm going to try to finish or at least get started on the Selected Prefectures soon by following your lead on the Selected Articles you have written up so far. (BTW, great job on those. Do you plan to do more, or should I get started on that too?) Then, I'm going to overhaul and shorten-up the Related topics section, and then I think I should be ready to pursue Featured status. --TorsodogTalk 00:24, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
You can work on them if you want. Bewareofdog 01:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

WP:CHICAGO leadership

This month you have indicated new or continuing interest in WP:CHICAGO as either an active or semi-active member. The response to the project membership survey was strong enough that we should attempt to organize it in a more fully functional way. Please sign up at Wikipedia:CHICAGO/leadership if you would be willing to serve as a leader of the project from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009. The various leadership responsibilities are listed there. The roles will be somewhat similar to the roles of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators. We are a less mature and developed project than WP:MILHIST however, so our division of roles will be slightly different. Please respond by the 23rd.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:57, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for volunteering for a role in WP:CHICAGO. We still have no one to do the collaboration or the newsletter. Let me know if you would like to do either of these. Are you interested in overseeing the whole project. If so let me know. I will do it if no one else wants to.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:41, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Help!

Torsodog-- please check Nanbu clan. I was just editing it, and the page turned black and had a "Message from the Zodiac" on it...what's going on?? -Tadakuni (talk) 21:42, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Okay, so I checked, and apparently this has been a problem on other Wikipedia pages. Still, I wonder if anything's being done about it. -Tadakuni (talk) 23:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Firstly, sorry I didn't get to help earlier. But wow, that seems like a REALLY weird problem. Personally I haven't experienced it, but I'd be curious to. Have you encountered it more than once, or just that one time? --TorsodogTalk 03:10, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Just once. See this for more. Apparently it's becoming pervasive. -Tadakuni (talk) 03:15, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Crown Fountain photo

Hey, do you have a fisheye lens for your camera. We could use something like http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenilio/1661690320/, http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenilio/1468166739/ , or http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenilio/448522140/ .--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 14:22, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately I don't. Does it need to be fish eye? I can take a similar picture without it if it would help. --TorsodogTalk 15:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Are you saying you have some super-wideangle lens that can get the shot from the same position? If so, we could use the shot.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 16:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
It would be good if you could get something that could replace the main image. Read the FAC discussion because there were several attributes of the main image that Ruhrfich liked. If you could get a picutre that has the same attributes and captures the dualism that might be a great main image.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:04, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
What is going on with this? You have made no further comment despite visits to WP to handle other business.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 20:52, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Butting in - have either of you tried panoramas made by stitching several photos together? I currently use Autostitch and have also used Panorama Factory and Hugin (all are freeware or shareware)? That would avoid the need for a fisheye lens. I think a panoramic image of the whole fountain could be a justifiable third fair use image. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I could not find my wide-angle lens, so unfortunately I can't take the picture. I could try this panorama though, if you think that would work just the same. It is night though, so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow. I will poke around with the programs you suggested tonight, however. --TorsodogTalk 02:07, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
If you want an example, look at this cat on Commons - it has seven original photos and the resulting panorama (which is at the botom of Loyalsock State Forest. You can also take vertical photos and stitch them and even stitch together two rows (one on top of each other). Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:34, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Any update on the Crown Fountain panorama image?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:10, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I made another attempt today, but again, there was a problem. This time there was TOO much light. I took the picture after I got off work, and it seems as though right at that time the sun is setting right into the picture. Here is the attempt. Also, the left monolith was busted—the image on the screen was static and never changed. So, I'm going to try again a little later tomorrow when the sun has set a bit more, but I think our best bet is for me to take it in the afternoon on Saturday. The lighting will be best, and there will be more people around the fountain as well. Let me know what you think. --TorsodogTalk 22:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Cloud Gate images

I see we have three images that need to be transfered to WP under fair use and that on the talk page you said you are going to take care of this tonight. Let me know if you have any questions.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 20:54, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I will take care of the images tonight or tomorrow, but only the three that are in the article.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 03:47, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
That is a pretty good shot. Hopefully, it will be warm and kids will be running around. If you can try and get the shot while the water is spouting (which is only for 30 seconds every 5 minutes)--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:05, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Any news on the shot?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:22, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
I went out and took 3 different panoramic shots today, but unfortunately the weather was not great. The overcast day made the lighting pretty bad and there were not many people around. I still have the shots if you really want them, but I was going to go out and try again tomorrow if you can wait one more day. --TorsodogTalk 02:12, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Take your time and get good shots. Try to get them with the water flowing. We are going to have to renom this and part of what we need to do is swap out the main image so it is not redundant with the series. The important thing is to get a good shot.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 06:06, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Tsubaki Grand Shrine

Hi Torsodog,

Quick question about Tsubaki Grand Shrine. The Japanese Wikipedia gives the reading of the shrine's name as つばきおおかみやしろ but you changed it in the English article to "Dai-jinja." I quickly looked at the shrine's web site but couldn't find the reading they use for the kanji. What's the best source for the reading?

Hi Torsodog, and thanks for letting me know about this DYK and the photo. I had missed it, and wouldn't have known it was on the Main Page. Congratulations on a major expansion of the article! Good to see it your work get the exposure it deserves. It belongs in Portal:Japan too, in some form. Fg2 (talk) 21:43, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Sensōji

I just wanted to say thank you for your excellent work on Kaminarimon, Hōzōmon, and other Sensō-ji-related articles. This is the kind of work that helps make Wikipedia as thorough as it should be. Keep up the good work. LordAmeth (talk) 01:28, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the support! Those were the first articles that actually got me into editing on Wikipedia. I was shocked that they were not created yet, and having been there a few times, I had a lot of interest in making them. --TorsodogTalk 02:31, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

AT&T Plaza

I meant to ask you about the GAR discussion about AT&T Plaza. What do you think of it redirecting to Cloud Gate vs redirecting to Millennium Park vs. being its own stub.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 08:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

I've been thinking about this a lot, but I can't quite figure out what would be best. I do think that creating a stub for it would not be a good idea as I don't think the Plaza alone is notable enough. The article would never and could never grow past talking about the history of its name. As for the other two choices, I could see it going either way. Having it in the Cloud Gate article seems appropriate since the Plaza is basically synonymous with Cloud Gate, but it also clutters up the article quite a bit. It also seems like it is kind of hard to fit it in there without it seeming out of place. Having it in the Millennium Park article is also fine by me. With that article, it is also easier to simply added in a section about the Plaza without it seeming out of place at all. So what I'm trying to say is that I guess I think the Millennium Park article is the best place for it. --TorsodogTalk 16:16, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
I do doubt that anything else will be exhibited at the plaza. I am realizing we have another paragraph from the fourth paragraph of the history section. There is always potential construction details. I am thinking of creating a stubbyish article. I think it would pass WP:N. I don't think we can ever get it to WP:GA.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:05, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Portal Chicago

In order to keep the Portal running you only have to do a couple of things. Basically, I add most new WP:GAs and WP:FAs to the appropriate sections, keep WP:DYKs up to date, and watch for new WP:FLs.

  1. You can find GAs at WP:CHIGA and find FAs, FLs, FPs, etc at WP:CHIFC. The last article I added was Jon Burge. So you need to find pages like Portal:Chicago/Selected_biography and add the latest ones. I think there are only three new ones. If you have time look for pictures for the articles that don't have them.
  2. When we get our tenth featured list we can add a section on the portal for it.
  3. We don't yet have a coordinated way to find Chicago DYKs. However, you can add mine from User:TonyTheTiger/DYK. The ones after archive 215 need to be added.
  4. Cirt (talk) knows how to keep the news current. You may want to tell him you are the new WP:CHICAGO portal coordinator.
  5. I think that is all. If I think of anything else or if any question comes up we can hit each others' talk pages.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 05:48, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

I forgot two things.

  1. Images in portal space must be free. No fair use, which is why so many articles don't have images. You may have time to find free images, but if you don't, it is no problem.
  2. I think I forgot to strip the birth dates from the most recent bio additions. For consistency remove them if you have time.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:01, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

I know you had requested to be the Portal:Chicago person. However, you seem to be busy with other things. Do you want me to add The GAs for the last month and a half to the Chicago Portal. If you are not going to do it, I have a lot of catching up to do.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 08:20, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Cloud Gate

What do you think about the one reference that remains in question. Do you want to remove the whole issue from the article or leave it out there for people to ponder?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 15:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

It is an interesting little bit about the interior structure, but I really don't think it is necessary. If it is just going to cause problems, I have no problem removing it since it is so trivial. --TorsodogTalk 15:16, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

suikinkutsu

Thanks for doing all the work on that - It'll be a fine featured sound. I'll only vote on it if it becomes necessary, though - if I don't vote on things, I can do the closing, which saves a lot of time later, as I almost always have to do most of the closure anyway. =)

Do feel free to nominate any other Japan-related (or not-Japan related) sounds - we're a pretty friendly bunch, and I for one would be delighted if we could have a good collection of sounds from Japan. =) Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 20:08, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

I saw you may have solved our image problem. Did you see the slew of editorial issues raised toward the end of the FAC. I would like to renominate this ASAP, but we need to address all of these first.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:25, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Ya, I have copy edited a bit per the issues brought up near the end, but I haven't gotten around to fully ce the entire article yet. Give me a couple more days to go through it a few more times. Feel free to go through it yourself or recruit anyone you can to help out with a bit of ce. --TorsodogTalk 04:40, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
TheQuandry (talk · contribs) may come by and make some suggestions. Feel free to renominate at WP:FAC when you feel you have responded to most of the late concerns.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I like this new feature. I will nominate Chase Promenade and AT&T Plaza for WP:PR and then nominate the entire series at WP:GTC.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 00:42, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

AT&T Plaza

Do you have any source with the dimensions of AT&T Plaza?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 16:57, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Surprisingly, no I don't. I've looked too, considering that seems to be one of the few concrete facts we could possibly get about the plaza. I've come up empty, however. --TorsodogTalk 15:58, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Promotion of Japanese Portal

The portal you nominated at featured portal candidates on August 26 2008 has been promoted to featured portal status, and the 126th to do so. Well done. You can view eventual comments at the nomination page. Best regards,

Caulde 12:22, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations, Torsodog! After starting the portal and maintaining it for a year, I gave it up; your redesign was thorough, and the result is tremendous. Congratulations on creating an inviting, appealing, informative portal! Fg2 (talk) 12:30, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! I'm really proud of the portal. Most of all though, I'm really excited that WikiProject Japan has a featured portal now to showcase the extraordinary work of everyone in the project. --TorsodogTalk 18:05, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

RE: GA Review of Tokyo Tower

Sorry, this is my first GA review. ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 21:34, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

You hit the facilities section problem straight on. The unreferenced paragraph is the first paragraph of the Facilitiessection. Perhaps you could use one of the citations from later on in the section. Also, I would like to see that paragraph a bit more wikified. Never mind. No appropriate link could be added. Tanaka

Hiya, I have undone Pharmdmsn (talk · contribs)'s edits to Tanaka adding the Shona usage of the name. WP:V was not forthcoming and seems unlikely to be so. I have left a message on their talk page explaining what I've done and inviting them to re-add only if they can verify it to our standards. Thanks! :-) fr33kman -s- 19:56, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good. And thanks for following up! --TorsodogTalk 20:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
No problems, all part of the service :-) fr33kman -s- 23:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Portal:Chicago

I am not sure what you have done for the portal, but since WP:CHICAGO got its 10th featured list it can add a featured list section. Feel free to do so if you are still interested in Portal:Chicago.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 06:34, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

We are almost three months behind in updating the Portal. It would really be helpful if you would add our new reviewed content. I am working in Ohio for the Democratic Party and have minimal time. I guess I will do them all when I get back to Chicago after the election if you don't want to be the Portal coordinator.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 13:43, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I did a slight edit of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and pretty much forgot about it over the past two months or so, and I check my watchlist today and wham, I see you've greatly expanded the plot and development stuff, and cited the Development section. I may never have time to read it all and see what's right and what's not, but what I have seen looks really nice and useful now. Good job improving the article! --an odd name 06:49, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! The game has long been one of my favorites, and I thought it deserved a little better article. I have hopes of getting it to at LEAST a Good Article, so if you have the time I'd love for you to help out! --TorsodogTalk 13:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

I gave the article a full read a few minutes ago, and it looks like a complete, well-written article to me. It has remained largely unchanged since your last edit. I'm not sure what else you want to add—if there is any more to add—but if you're not doing more you should consider nominating it for Good Article (or better), or getting it reviewed or assessed. I'm not sure if you'd need to shorten the game quotes or remove the "Unlockable content" section to comply with non-free content and article scope rules, but I won't do so and I see nothing wrong with those or anything else in the article.

Look it over and make your move when you've got time—this is an article you should be proud of. --an odd name 04:49, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

I was originally planning on expanding the "gameplay" section a bit, but I've gotten very busy recently and haven't had time. I do think though that the article is currently good enough to achieve GA status. You are right about the quotes, images and other free content, however. I'm not too sure about the rules on all of that, so maybe a PR would be a good idea. I could also see the "unlockable content" section getting axed completely, though the game's secrets and extra content are rather important. Perhaps it could get merged into other sections? Anyways, thanks for all the help with the article. Feel free to drop by the PR and help out if you like! --TorsodogTalk 16:06, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Millennium Park

feel free to take the lead in renominating any of these articles at WP:FAC or WP:PR. My next two or three FAC noms are going to be other work.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 23:26, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
