École des mines d'Alès

[edit]

Hello,

Thanks for your article about École des mines d'Alès.

The article uses primary sources, which are not considered WP:Reliable sources; Wikipedia articles should be created with WP:Secondary sources. Basically what that means is that items should be used from a source removed from the subject, such as magazine articles, journals, books or websites that are not related to the university.

Some examples can be found:

Hope this helps!--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:41, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Starting on secondary sources

[edit]

Hi there, I started working on the secondary sources: 1) Identified "CampusFrance" source for most of the information in the intro and the educational programs. (#1 in References) 2) Identified one of your sources, "Introduction of EMA on Letudiant" as another secondary source. (#2 in References) So, good, we now have two sources. 3) Identified the remaining sources as "Primary sources" for identification.

The next step is to find more sources. How I did it was a googled on the university name and what information I'm looking for. So, the next step could be to look for information for the "History" section, so I did a search and came up with this item.

Want to tackle identifying where that fits in the article and formatting a citation? (I'll put this page on watch and will see your response).--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:05, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
