[edit]I noticed you created the category "Asian Americans in the United States military". Please note that there already exists a well-populated category "Asian Americans in the United States Military" (see [1]). You might wish to speedy-delete your new cat (see WP:SPEEDY) to avoid confusion among other editors. Thanks. — Myasuda (talk) 03:15, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

On 6 October 2009, I requested to have my block removed and it is now 11 February 2010 and I am still blocked from updating or adding on wikipedia. I have been blocked and listed as a sockpocket by mistake in good faith. As I stated above, I have only used my wikipedia username Tommy_Nero_Sullivan. Can you please look at the IP address between Bnguyen and myself to further investigate as this can clarify the misunderstanding. I am not Bnnguyen or his sockpocket. If you do as google search on my name you can see that I am my own individual and my contact information is available online. Thank you very muchTommy Nero Sullivan (talk) 15:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

It has been determined that you are a sock of User:Bnguyen, an editor who identified himself as Brandon Nguyen on his user page. This man was indefinitely blocked in 2008 for copyright violations. Many of your edits seem to concern people named Nguyen. If you were to reply and offer to identify yourself to a checkuser it is conceivable that an admin might act on your request. Your request appears to have been declined without comment on 13 November. The blocking admin cited behavioral similarities between your edits and those of a banned editor (Bnguyen), which can usually indicate that the two users are either working together to push a particular agenda, or are actually the same person. No checkuser report is indicated, nor are checkusers likely to perform a check in order to prove one's innocence. I'm leaving this request for further review from another admin, but I must stress that you cannot include personal contact information in your unblock requests. I am requesting to appeal my by block as stated by User:EdJohnston, above to offer to identify myself in checkuser. I have read the Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks and feel that my block was done by mistake in good faith. I have edited comments of Vietnamese people with the last name Nguyen, because it is a common name among Vietnamese surnames. Please do a search on google or wikipedia. Again, I am not aware who user Bnguyen is and never have been contacted by him. Please again, check my IP address to see that I am my own individual and do not have the same IP address as him. It was also noted by User:EdJohnston that in 2008, was blocked for copyright violations and concerning me, I have never posted anything on Wikipedia that was a copyright violation. To correct this good faith mistake, and to join the wikipedia community, I will promise not edit any articles concerning the last name Nguyen. I want people here in the wikipedia community to trust me that I am here as an asset to the community. I intend to show that I am here to contribute by commenting on request for comments and patrolling new articles.

YellowMonkey declared here that you are Bnguyen. As YellowMonkey is a CheckUser, I am assuming that statement is given in that role. As such, I am now declining your request for an unblock -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 07:50, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

In the circumstances an ordinary admin without access to checkuser information cannot feel confident in reviewing this block. I suggest you email the arbitration committee and ask them to refer the matter to the ban appeal subcommittee. Spartaz Humbug! 14:17, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

- Please use an

I have extensively examined your editing history and Bnguyen's. The degree of overlap in what the two accounts have edited is way beyond what could reasonably be expected of two independent users with no knowledge of one another who just happen to have similar interests. If you want to email the arbitration committe then, as you have already been told, you can do so at Special:EmailUser/Arbitration Committee. (You cannot do so by contacting an administrator, and I cannot see anywhere where Spartaz said so.) JamesBWatson (talk) 10:08, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

I am trying to become a members in good faith on wilipedia. It has been over 1 year that I have been blocked. I was told that I needed to contact "Arbitration Committee". I tried that, and it stated that I needed to have a authenticated email. I understand from above user JamesBWatson stated that there is a degree of overlap but I in good faith to the wikipedia community have never met nor have been in email contact with User Bnguyen. I please ask for consideration as I have been blocked for over one year to show that I have been patient in my application process to become a positive member of wikipedia. Thank you very much Tommy Nero Sullivan (talk) 09:21, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I have checked this out, and what I think you need to do is go to your Preferences and make sure there is a valid e-mail address there. Make sure your account is set to receive e-mail from other users as that is how the committee will reply to you. If there is no e-mail address there, or if there is one listed that has never been verified, please click on the "reconfirm" link which will take you to a page with further instructions. I hope this works! If not please let us know. --Diannaa (Talk) 17:31, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
