Alright, so I've looked over this article, and I've got to say it's some good writing. However, there are some issues that make it difficult to directly submit in place of the current Wikipedia article.
- There are a number of facts in the article that aren't properly sourced. Things such as Wood's personal background, place of birth, etc. It's best if we have that attributed, but not critical. However, things such as that Wood is best known for The Power of Maps should be sourced; in other words, if we're going to say that, it's best to quote some reliable source which says the same thing.
- The structure isn't one which we typically follow for a biographical article on Wikipedia. After the lead section (which summarizes the whole article), we typically address things in chronological order, with sections to address things like Wood's early life and education, his rise to prominence and writings during that period, controversy, and "today". I'd be glad to help clean that aspect up.
- There are a few sticking points that are likely a result of copy/pasting from Microsoft Word that don't mesh with our manual of style, but those are relatively minor.
However, as I said, it's quite good. I think with some work we might even have the basis for a featured article. —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 20:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
