I see you've used the above image in the Sidney Freeman article. That's good as far as it goes, but I'm pretty sure the copyright tag is incorrect as things stand: {{PD-ineligible}} is for stuff that has never been under copyright, and newspaper articles most certainly have. As it's dated 1920 it shouldn't be a big problem, but I think the tag will need to be changed; I haven't done it myself because I'm not sure what it needs changing to!. The same goes for the above image, used in the same article. If it's dated over 70 years ago and the photographer is unknown, then we can use it, but not with the "PD-ineligible" tag. Loganberry (Talk) 04:25, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Much the same applies here. It can't possibly be, as you've tagged it, that "copyright has expired in ... those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 100 years or less", since the photo is less than 100 years old! If its photographer is unknown, then I think it's a case of "date plus 70 years", in which case we could use it... after the end of this year! Loganberry (Talk) 01:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Sidney-thomas-freeman.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:50, 27 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 14:50, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
