Italicized titles?
I don't follow how you were able to italicize the title The Negro in the South though I know how to italicize print within articles. Could you do the same to Tuskegee & Its People and Working With the Hands or point me to where the instructions exist? Thanks Trilobitealive (talk) 20:22, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- You just add {{italictitle}} don't you? Thanks. I'm a dummy. Trilobitealive (talk) 20:29, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Clear neologisms don't usually require discussion. While I wish they could be speedily deleted, usually the best way to deal with them is through a PROD. Simon & Garfunkel discography
Hi,
Wanted to correct some things you reverted from the Simon & Garfunkel discography-page that you claimed were wrong, when in fact it wasn't wrong.
The UK below Top 100 chart positions for "Old Friends" (#170) and "The Best of Simon and Garfunkel" (#145) are very correct, which you "removed false chart positions" for. I hadn't had yet added the ref.links for these before you deleted them. I added these chart positions back on the page and added the correct 2nd UK reference. (http://zobbel.de/cluk/CLUK_S.HTM Chart Log UK 1994–2008: DJ S - The System Of Life (scroll down to Simon & Garfunkel - alphabetical order)
You also claimed that you "reverted url; it doesn't show the peak chart position, only list of releases)" on the discography/chart pages for Australia, Finland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden. If you would have scrolled down the page then the Chart History for the country on its page is listed after the discography (list of releases). It's preferable to use these Discography/Chart History pages as reference as they list both the albums and singles as well as the artists chart entries if they are credited differently than under their usual name. You've used instead the search pages which are better not to be used as you then need separate pages for singles and albums and you won't get them in chronolgical order either.
I also added the references for Austalian and Finnish Charts that were missing. The australian-charts.com archive is for the ARIA period which began in 1988 and also lists only the Top 50 (instead of the complete Top 100). Before 1988 the chart was provided by the Kent Report which later became Australian Music Report, and all pre-1988 chart positions are taken from the book "Australian Chart Book 1970–1992" by David Kent. The archive for the Finnish charts at finnishcharts.com begins 1995 and all pre-1995 chart positions are taken from the official Finnish chart book "Sisältää hitin - levyt ja esittäjät Suomen musiikkilistoilla vuodesta 1972" (2006) by Timo Pennanen, which unfortuantely is only released in Finnish language. The AUS and FIn chart positions are correct (i have the books to prove it) and also added the books as references for these charts.
Swedish charts before 1975 (as of which the archive at swedishcharts.com begins) can be found at http://www.hitsallertijden.nl/charts/swedish%20charts/swedish%20charts%20index.htm with all the charts for that period scanned and published as pdf-files (if interested it's worth to download them on ones own computer in case the page would be taken down or something, as these are quite rare to find...) The pre-1975 Swedish chart positions are also available in the swedish-language book "Kvällstoppen i P3" (1st ed., 1993) by Eric Hallberg (published: Sweden: Drift Musik. ISBN 91-630-2140-4.) Weldt, Wille (1993). Topplistan (1st ed.). Sweden: Premium Publishing.
Keep up the good work

WikiCup 2011 April newsletter
Round 2 of the 2011 WikiCup is over, and the new round will begin on 1 May. Note that any points scored in the interim (that is, for content promoted or reviews completed on 29-30 April) can be claimed in the next round, but please do not start updating your submissions' pages until the next round has begun. Fewer than a quarter of our original contestants remain; 32 enter round 3, and, in two months' time, only 16 will progress to our penultimate round. Casliber (submissions), who led Pool F, was our round champion, with 411 points, while 7 contestants scored between 200 and 300 points. At the other end of the scale, a score of 41 was high enough to reach round 3; more than five times the score required to reach round 2, and competition will no doubt become tighter now we're approaching the later rounds. Those progressing to round 3 were spread fairly evenly across the pools; 4 progressed from each of pools A, B, E and H, while 3 progressed from both pools C and F. Pools D and G were the most successful; each had 5 contestants advancing.
This round saw our first good topic points this year; congratulations to Hurricanehink (submissions) and Nergaal (submissions) who also led pool H and pool B respectively. However, there remain content types for which no points have yet been scored; featured sounds, featured portals and featured topics. In addition to prizes for leaderboard positions, the WikiCup awards other prizes; for instance, last year, a prize was awarded to Candlewicke (submissions) (who has been eliminated) for his work on In The News. For this reason, working on more unusual content could be even more rewarding than usual!
Sorry this newsletter is going out a little earlier than expected- there is a busy weekend coming up! A running total of claims can be seen here. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. J Milburn and The ed17 19:20, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Simon & Garfunkel
Hi Pumpkin,
I've done a copyedit of Simon & Garfunkel discography as requested at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Guild_of_Copy_Editors/Requests#Simon_.26_Garfunkel_discography.
The lead section seems fine to me, but you mention an FLC. Regarding that I have left a series of questions/considerations on the article talkpage that I'd suggest you address first. I don't know much about FLC, but I think a thorough analysis may throw up some of those issues. See Talk:Simon_&_Garfunkel_discography#Questions_out_of_copyedit_of_lead_section. Cheers, --jjron (talk) 16:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Did a bit of a rework of the S&G opening paragraph again (after looking at some other similar articles). I'll have a look at Velvet Underground later tonight if you like, but I'm not as familiar with their work. Do you mind adding it to the Requests page though so I can include it in my count for the Backlog elimination drives/May 2011. --jjron (talk) 02:31, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Pink Floyd
Hello, Why the fuck you withdraw my nomination? :| You should at least let it to be checked by a administrator, there was a chance for us. I did very excellent efforts to that to make it ready for FL, what is the problems now? you tell me and I will fix, and know this, this band and many albums are very very old (before 70's) and you must know this that there might be many info for them in the net, like the exact charts, we both together will make it FL, I will do anything for it. See Metallica discography and Iron Maiden discography, I also contributed these list too much and finally we made it FL, I know what to do; so we help, OK? Nima1024 (talk) 08:35, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- So what's the solution? I suggest to create a check list and post it on the talk page. In this way everyone who wants to contribute will see it and do what is right and needed, I myself will do it, too. Nima1024 (talk) 17:32, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Rollback
This edit was an inappropriate use of the rollback feature. Please review WP:ROLLBACK, specifically the 'When to use rollback' section, before using this tool again. Also, is there any way that you could make your talk page notice slightly less irritating? Surely there's no need for the smiley face image to be so ridiculously big. - That response is worrying. Did you review WP:ROLLBACK like I asked? There are only five situations when it is appropriate to use rollback. They are:
- To revert obvious vandalism and other edits where the reason for reverting is absolutely clear
- To revert edits in your own user space
- To revert edits that you have made (for example, edits that you accidentally made)
- To revert edits by banned users who are not allowed to edit (but be prepared to explain this use of rollback when asked to)
- To revert widespread edits (by a misguided editor or malfunctioning bot) which are judged to be unhelpful to the encyclopedia, provided that an explanation is supplied in an appropriate location, such as at the relevant talk page
- As you can see, reverting an edit that does not follow WP:NPP is not one of the situations where it is appropriate to use rollback. Please do not make this mistake again and I would strongly encourage you to re-read WP:ROLLBACK. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 12:32, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
