Battlefield 3

Where are these sensitive people? Barring the bad company sub-series, Battlefield has always been developed primarily for the PC. Even Black Ops had some PC only features so it's hardly 'unusual'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muskeato (talk • contribs) 21:34, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

It was a reference to how suggestions that the Bad Company games being console-led was a reason for their smaller scale kept being removed. Meanwhile DICE have come out and said that the PC version of BF3 is their focus, the engine uses modern technology that isn't available on consoles, there are 40 more player slots on PC (presumably that means maps become bigger too)...it all makes for a very clear difference between BF3 and other recent big shooters, and is definitely more than putting some knobs on and shipping larger textures. Google accusations

Hi Tom, could I suggest that I add a short half sentence on the fact of UK Music's €30m Google lobbying assertion? This figure made a lot of impact, so I feel it is useful for its source and rebuttal to be recorded. eg: UK Music claimed Google had a €31 million fund to derail the proposals. Hi Jim. The claim is already mentioned in the Support section. I chose to refer to the €5.5m figure from the body of the press release rather than the €35m in the headline because the release itself admits to inflating the headline figure! I think in general we should ignore fluff and spin unless it becomes prominent in the debate. As far as I'm aware that hasn't happened in this case, but you say it made a lot of impact?
