Randy Couture

[edit]

I'm not sure if you're aware of page history, so I'll let you know here that title defenses and interim title unifications are not counted in the n-time champion count. —LOL T/C 18:28, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Time is far, far more credible than Matt Hughes' personal website. IMO starting off a rebuttal by showing your own ignorance (i.e. "I Don't know what your talking about") isn't the best way to handle an argument. Is calling people "stubborn know it alls"[1] supposed to make you more credible? —LOL T/C 19:27, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, your a stubborn know it all... not only are you are only counting title defences but you are saying Matt Hughes is wrong.

I wonder when you'll notice how ironic your accusations are. I also stated above that title defences aren't counted, and of course Matt Hughes can be wrong. Any fighter can fabricate their own definition of what it means to be an n-time champion and advertise themselves accordingly on a site over which they have 100% control while contradicting the largest weekly magazine in the world. —LOL T/C 21:55, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How can you not realise that you are wrong... there is no way on earth you know better than Matt Hughes and the shear fact that you keep telling yourself that you know better shows how stubborn you are... If you look at his fight record you will realise he is a 10-time UFC champion, so i am going to delete the writing at the top of the page that tries to tell people he has done half of what he has realy acomplished... You are not a true Randy Couture fan and you have no reason to edit that page.

More irony ftw. Can you tell me how many Sherdog articles call Matt Hughes a nine-time welterweight champion? It's not just that I know better, but that the largest MMA publication in the world and the largest weekly publication in the world are far more credible than one fighter with a conflict of interest who found a way to make himself sound fancier. Since you haven't brought forth more evidence than one biased personal website, while I've brought forth two of the most reputable publications out there, I have much better reason to restore the writing at the top of the page that tells people the correct number of times he became a UFC champion, as that is a significant accomplishment in his career. Not that your "true fan" claim has any importance whatsoever, but since when did being a "true fan" entail falsifying the number of championships won by the subject? —LOL T/C 00:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WT:MMA#"n-time champion"LOL T/C 00:57, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well if the majority of people think that is how it should be told then fair enough... I think it should at least say: a three-time former heavyweight champion, two-time former light-heavyweight champion, former interim light heavyweight champion and UFC 13 tournement winner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

btw do you think you could tell me how to add a picture on wikipedia please?
