Hello, I am requesting to have my block reconsidered. My username is my full name and my year of birth - how can that be considered as 'hiding my identity'? If necessary I can upload various forms of identification to prove that I am indeed Tom Owen. I am also being accused of 'abuse' and 'harassment' - please can someone clarify how 'abuse' and 'harassment' can be possible on wikipedia? I am an intern at a fashion brand called Jitrois and was given the task of updating and improving the wikipedia page to make it more relevant. I have not edited any other pages, which is why I find this extremely bizarre. Please get back to me as soon as possible because this block is prohibiting me from doing my job.

Hello, apologies for the confusion, I have now read wikipedias policies and will comply with them when editing the page as an intern at Jitrois. My edits were not promotional but instead adding more relevant information to keep it up to date.

Decline reason:

Your edits were indeed promotional, with language like "Jitrois revolutionised the fashion industry"; "Today the house creates powerful and confrontational pieces", and so on. If you don't see how that is promotional, that is a concern. You indicate that you will comply with policies, but do not explain how you will do so as requested by Boing!. Request reason:

I understand that these are promotional sentences and I will refrain from using such language in the future. I will comply to the guidelines by keeping every sentence factual and unbiased and by using a variety of references to back-up these facts. The page requires editing to include new features as it has not been updated properly for a long time - please can my block be reconsidered so that these updates can be added.

Decline reason:

As long as there is reason to believe that you are editing as part of your job (in direct contravention of this website's Terms of Use) and that your only purpose here is to add information about your company, I see no reason to lift the block. If you would like to edit Wikipedia in your personal capacity as a private individual on some other topic, please indicate the subject areas you would like to edit in.
