Apology

[edit]

I removed and then restored Polarman. I did it without bothering to check if he was notable enough to stay. Of course once I did check I found that he does look as if he should be included in the article. Sorry about removing him. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:18, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lamb Air

[edit]

Rather than have 2 articles about the same company the one should redirect to the other. So now Lamb Air Ltd. redirects to Lamb Air. I created several other redirects to it, Thomas Lamb Airways, Lamb Airways and Lambair. In the article I did a bit of rewrite and found a couple of external sites about the company. I reduced the picture size of the sons (many people still use dial-up) and removed some of the links. One of the links Greg Lamb is a cricket player. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 15:18, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are making good work of getting the articles done but a couple of tips. When making an article with the same name as an existing one Todd Lamb it's best to give it a name that people will type. It's not likely that people will type Todd Lamb. so I moved it to Todd Lamb (Lamb Air) and fixed the other articles that link to it. This is not to say that the name I moved it to is the best one just better than having a period after the name. Also when you make a link an article check and see where the link is going such as with Greg Lamb. It goes to a cricket player and people will be confused if they click on that.

I had to remove the stuff from the book as it's a copyright violation. Please don't add it back and take a look at Wikipedia:Copyrights. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:AUS.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:AUS.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 00:16, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warm trooper

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Warm trooper, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Angus McLellan (Talk) 00:44, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Relief Air Transport

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Relief Air Transport, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? B. Wolterding (talk) 20:17, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:C46.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Curtiss C-46 Lambair.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. File source problem with File:Polarman2.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Polarman2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one month after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Saibo (Δ) 23:12, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
