New username needed
[edit]Hello, I apologize for the inconvenience, but if you are not Toby Philpott, please could you request a change of username at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. Potentially misleading usernames -- even if not intended as such -- are not permitted. Many thanks. MPS1992 (talk) 22:34, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
TobyPh: It is me, and my entry that I fixed. I appreciate it is not approved to edit your own entry. The original entry was made by a trainee journalist for Wookiepedia, and migrated here. I noticed that my Tokelau URL (hosted at Freenom) was not working, although the subscription is valid, so it seemed easier to simply edit the link to a newer domain name. My apologies if this is wrong in terms of Wiki etiquette.--TobyPh (talk) 11:01, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Toby, that's no problem... if things are obviously not working then they need fixing :) I imagine everyone would be very happy to see you editing Wikipedia.
- I think there is some sort of bureaucratic process you're supposed to go through to prove that you are yourself, but I can't find the link to it right now, so hopefully it can be ignored. (Unless you plan to add anything controversial!)
- You may be aware there is a WP:WikiProject Star Wars -- one of its major achievements being to get Jabba the Hutt to Featured Article status which it has retained for well over ten years -- although it seems not to be very active at the moment. MPS1992 (talk) 20:00, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
