[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Manduca sexta did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Eric talk 18:58, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Tobacco Hornworm. WP:SECONDARY is necessary especially for WP:CITESELF. — Invasive Spices (talk) 21:19, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you very much for your message! I am new to Wikepida and unfortunately do not know such things. Thanks for the info!
- Me and my research group have published two very important papers (peer-reviewed) on Manduca sexta. The last paper is a 3D gut atlas which is especially interesting for students and pupils dealing with insects and Manduca sexta. We have created many animated videos that summarize the anatomy very well. Everything is freely available and published under CC BY license. You could even link the videos to Wikipedia. But I don't have the time and the knowledge to do that. Also, self-citations seem to be a problem. Can you help me there and maybe link the article and videos to Wikipedia?
- Thank you very much and best regards

- I removed it because it's too recent & WP:PRIMARY. We will need to wait for a WP:SECONDARY to demonstrate it is WP:RS. — Invasive Spices (talk) 18:50, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi there now the Paper has a new Citation: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-023-40089-0
- Can you please include this?
- Thank you and all the Best

[edit]Hi Tobacco Hornworm! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
