Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to God Save the King did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Missing signatures

[edit]

Hi Tipinen. I don't know how active you are on Wikipedia these days, but there are a number of articles on British royalty that are missing signatures at the moment. I thought I could bring you a list of links for these remaining signatures. Let me know if you are willing to work on them. Here's the one depicting the signature of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. This one has two files that show the signatures of Princess Alexandra and Angus Ogilvy. This one has the signature of Princess Michael of Kent, while this one better shows the signature of Prince Michael of Kent. I have also located the signatures of Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany (1), Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught (2), Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (3), and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom (4; this page showcases Alice, Leopold, Arthur, and Alfred's signatures along those of Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, Augusta, Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Princess Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck, and Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein) . I don't want to put you under any pressure, so if you are not able take this request let me know. Otherwise, please complete them at your own pace. Best. Keivan.fTalk 01:18, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do them @Keivan.f
--Tipinen (talk) 08:12, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Keivan.f Hi, I have done now most these. Best wishes to you --Tipinen (talk) 09:09, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. That was fast! I appreciate it. Yes, you did the majority of them, and I think the only ones remaining are those of Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Augusta of Cambridge, Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein, and Angus Ogilvy. Again, feel free to complete them whenever you like. Have a good day. Keivan.fTalk 17:37, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Marie Christine's signature is done @Keivan.f. --Tipinen (talk) 17:48, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Keivan.f Everything is done, have great week!
--Tipinen (talk) 18:06, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. Same to you. Keivan.fTalk 18:33, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. Hope you are doing well. So we are still missing some signatures which I did not add to my original request since I did not want to overwhelm you, but now that those are out of the way, I though I could leave them here with you so you could take a look at them whenever you like. So, for Princess Beatrice I found this article and this one that have photos of her signature. I guess you can choose whichever works best for you or looks better. For Princess Eugenie I found this and this. Again, up to you to choose. Also, I found the signature of Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence. Here's him and Mary of Teck signing their names as "Eddy" and "May", and here's Mary's signature before marriage. I thought it would be a good idea to have these signatures on the Commons for future use, along with that of George VI when he was Prince Albert (his signature can be seen on the instrument of abdication).
Again, I'm in no rush and I do understand if you cannot complete these requests at this juncture. So, please take your time. Thanks a lot and have a great weekend. Keivan.fTalk 02:30, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I actually on my summer holiday, so I dont have anything to do, so I start doing those
Have a great weekend too
--Tipinen (talk) 10:45, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi,@Keivan.f I have now published the signature of George VI.
--Tipinen (talk) 12:37, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Keivan.f, I'm sorry, but I wasnt able to do signatures of Mary and Edward, but I published signatures of Beatrice and Eugenie and added them to their infoboxes and to wikidata.
Have great weekend.
--Tipinen (talk) 12:48, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I totally understand. I had also found this file which shows Eddy's signature. I'd be glad if you could give it a try; let me know if you get any results. Regardless, thank you so much for your cooperation. I cannot really think of any other requests at the moment, so I guess I won't be bothering you again for now. Thank you and have a good day. Keivan.fTalk 13:01, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can give try to that! --Tipinen (talk) 13:23, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Keivan.f Im sorry, but it is problem that the signatures some parts have faded sadly so my auto trace doesnt recognise those faded parts,
Have a great weekend.
--Tipinen (talk) 13:32, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. That's fine. I really don't think anyone else at the graphics lab would be able to pull it off anyway, and it's not that crucial of a request either, so I'll give it a rest for now. Thank you so much. Keivan.fTalk 13:56, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
