- Blocking administrator: blocking admin (talk • blocks)
Decline reason: Please exactly follow the instructions which appear when you attempt to edit. That way, you'll provide us enough information to investigate your block. Yamla (talk) 22:21, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
I did that, it said I should use the template auto block. --Tine (talk) 22:39, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
unblock
[edit]Tine (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 192.166.41.238. I have really no idea why I'm blocked - there is obviously no reason for. Seems to be a auto block, but seemingly I used the wrong template? I read several pages, but - please be patient with a non-native speaker... Tine (talk) 22:40, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The autoblocked IP seems to be on a range of open proxies, hence the long term block. It has nothing to do with you. I can't lift it, and since you aren't directly blocked I can't unblock you. But I can send you to WP:IPECPROXY where you can follow the instructions to request IP block exemption, which will prevent you from getting caught in these proxy blocks. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:47, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Tine (talk) 22:40, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you. But I can't reply via the reply button either, for whatever reason. My IP is from one of the big German internet providers - what's going on here? I don't feel like spending my time organizing such things. So WP:EN loses my contributions for the time being. --Tine (talk) 09:34, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks to whoever took the necessary steps to unblock me. Tine (talk) 08:12, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
unblock, the second...

Request reason:
Again I am blocked for no reason, see the discussion above. I just wanted to start a new article, when I recognized that I am blocked again. Tine (talk) 21:09, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You are no longer using the IP address specified above. Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 22:06, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Note to whomever reviews the following unblock request, look at port 5060 in particular. If that is closed, there's a good chance the IP address is no longer serving as a proxy. If it's open, though, that may be a different matter. --Yamla (talk) 22:06, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. Probably it's easy to go through all these procedures as an English native speaker, for me it is not - have you noticed how often there is written what you should avoid, and which consequences there are if you will make anything wrong, and all what you have to read first and what you have to decide first... I resign from working for en:wp. --Tine (talk) 22:30, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Obviously someone had unblocked me shortly after this conversation, but now there is a block again. I don't make great contributions to the English Wikipedia, but I use it a lot, and when I find errors I'd like to be able to correct them, or add little things. But since my IP seems to be blocked again and again due to some regulations that are not comprehensible to me (my IP runs over the domain of the city network of a small German town), I would have to submit unblock requests all the time. Too bad. --Tine (talk) 06:35, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
- One or two days without block, preparing for writing a biography; there are two I would like to write, just stubs, but.... Blocked again. Tine (talk) 12:29, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- ... until Januar 2026. That is not normal. Tine (talk) 12:31, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

And again, one or two without a block, now blocked again, until January 2026. I work almost daily on commons - good for the project that there is no problem with my IP there. Is there any attempt to solve this "problem", which is only on wp:en, for the long term? --Tine (talk) 08:58, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

Blocked again
[edit]Just for the record - after nearly one year seemingly unblocked and able to make one or another contribution obviously the blocking game started again. Still overwhelmed by all the requirements it would take to apply for unblocking. Still non-native english speaker. Tine (talk) 10:15, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
