Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 22:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Wikitable - Formatting difficulty
In the article 'Allo 'Allo! under section DVD releases, I tried to put the list of DVD releases in Australia. I did this in a wikitable using exactly the same formatting as the UK releases section. It looked OK whilst editing but in preview it went wrong. Is this because I'm using Firefox and if so can something be done about it? Kathleen.wright5 08:36, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Re:COD4
Hey tom Dav42 here.
Sorry I took so long to reply to your message but I've been very busy lately!! Anyway I do in fact have COD4 (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) on the computer and I also have it on PS3. As for my level, I'm level 36 on pc and 38 on PS3.I'm currently looking fo a clan to join. Do you know any good clans?? Because my friend is on a clan (I don't know the name of it but my friend is called: kurtz or something and the boss is called :jafacake[not sure of the spelling of either of them]) and I would like to join a clan.
Thanks for the help,
Dav42 (talk) 09:10, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Well since you been at it for so long you can help me when I start. :) Anyway. I been in the that burial place called school. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy school (especially the one I'm in) buuuut... I hate being pressured and my mom does just that with everything... It annoys me when she asks dumb questions especially the ones that come with being a teen girl. Oh I got carried away. You didn't notice I was gone?? I'm pretty shocked I think I bugged you enough that you'd know I disappeared (or almost)...--CherryBlossom93 22:22, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
WP:HAU, Status, and you!
As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:11, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

OK. One article that I don't think exsits is Barbara Smucker. I think that it should be on here because she is the author of many wonderful novels, including Underground to Canada. Also, I was thinking of adding a hash-thingy to my account, but after reading this, I'm still not 100% sure of how to do it. Could you help me here? Thanks. Leamarie411x2 20:26, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Similarly
Hi Tom, just as with the above poster, I recently received a message about vandalizing a Wikipedia article. More correctly, the message appeared to me before I logged in; it was only sent to my IP address. I'm guessing it was a case of my ISP juggling my IP address and me getting an erroneous message, and my question is this: If others are abusing Wikipedia and it gets traced back to my IP, will I find myself unable to contribute, or will logging in solve the trouble? Cheers.

Speedy deletion nomination of Iceni (company)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Iceni (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 18:30, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Nomination of Iceni (company) for deletion
A discussion has begun about whether the article Iceni (company), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Iceni (company) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.
You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 02:18, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

placing internal link to 'PANDORA Archive'
Hello
Could you please help?
I would like to internally link the word 'PANDORA' to the Wikipedia entry of 'Pandora Archive'. If I were to place 'PANDORA' in double square brackets, [[ ]], the link would inevitably lead to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora
This is not what is intended. Instead, I would like the internal link to lead to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora_Archive
While I do not wish to alter the editorial text, e.g., to elaborate on the word 'PANDORA', I am incognizant of the required Wiki-codes that need to be inserted in order to lead to the desired page.
I would be grateful, if you could please edit the text to this end.
Thank you

Editing a Wiki Page
Hello, my name is Emily and i'm 13. I have gotten into your typing system on accident and I played around with it. I got a following message that my IP would be sent out to the public. So for the following I changed the little edits I have made, but my question is where will my IP be shown and if I had erased the edits I had did, would my IP still show up?
Thank you,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
