I have reverted your edit on Chas Newkey-Burden. It's ok to report that Private Eye made the allegation but the details you added to the article are defamatory and that's against wikipedia's rules. I believe Private Eye has retracted their allegation now and apologised to CNB. It's against wikipedia's rules to add original research into articles so I haven't added that information (it hasn't been published) but just so you know. Virgin711 (talk) 16:58, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. I shall probably revert or edit the page. I have emailed Private Eye to ask about the retraction and apology (I read it anyway so I should spot it when it appears). I have also referenced a blog which reports the article and includes a screenshot of the Amazon account "Read All About It" which shows that the account has a "Wish List" credited to Chas Newkey Burden and lists his delivery address.

Actually. No I won't. It's all got rather silly and petty and I'm rather ashamed of my contribution - which must make it look as if I have a grudge against the subject, when I don't, I just got rather a bee in my bonnet about what I saw as use of wikipedia for self-promotion. No-doubt, if I had something to promote, which, again, I don't, I'd do the same - so carry on. Feel free to remove the links I added too - apologies. I feel rather foolish.
