North Carolina State University article
[edit]Hi, Thunder. I agree with your (self-)nomination of the North Carolina State University article for WP:GA status. Great job! Now, at last count, there are more than 1,000,000 other articles Wikipedia would love your help on. Just kidding. Or not. In any event, congratulations. Justen Deal 06:40, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind lending your opinion to a content dispute that I am currently involved in on University of South Carolina. As you may know, USC has a strong rivalry with Clemson University. I feel that the athletics section of the article should discuss this rivalry, and I feel that this discussion should include a reference to the overall record between the two schools in various major sports. Other editors have disagreed, and feel that the record should not be mentioned. As it happens, Clemson leads in two of the discussed sports and USC leads in the third. I would appreciate it if you would consider lending your opinion on this issue on Talk:University of South Carolina. Thanks! Ëvilphoenix Burn! 00:40, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
ACC
[edit]Just so you know, I removed the US News rankings from the infobox of the members of the ACC. The rest of the info in that box is all factual representations of characteristics of each member university (ie, when it was founded, enrollment, number of national championships, etc.). To add a ranking, the basis of which no one really fully comprehends, except for the folks at US News, and that many university presidents have publicly said they disagree with, offers no true, or factual, insight to an conference athletics page. The information might be relevent to each schools' individual page, but I don't see the connection between this subjective ranking and an athletic conference article. I think if you want to add something about the ACC athletics and it's members' performance in the classroom, a section on athlete graduation rates might be a good place to start. Darla Moore
[edit]Sorry for my earlier deletion of the image of Darla Moore on University of South Carolina, Thunder8. I didn't notice that Darla Moore was listed in the section. I moved her image down so that it would "overlap" her entry there (like the pictures for Hootie and the others do). -- JHunterJ 15:25, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Breaking out the history makes sense, actually. It's now in the Talk page to document why the article got split out, in case somebody wants to prod it later. Thanks for the reply, so we've got it covered. —C.Fred (talk) 16:30, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
North Carolina Constitution
[edit]I had a chance to read that paragraph, and the Whole County Provision hasn't really been struck down--simply limited in its application. As I understand it, unless it's necessary to ensure single-member districts (and presumably "one man, one vote"), no county can be divided. Blueboy96 01:01, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
An observation about the "at Raleigh" edit issue in North Carolina State University
[edit]I have good faith in my fellow editors, but I find it curious that the string "unc" appears in the name of the editor who stirred the pot by reinserting "at Raleigh" all over the article. —C.Fred (talk) 22:59, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PKT COA.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:PKT COA.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Recall (company)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Recall (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. gnfnrf (talk) 15:35, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
