Welcome! Bienvenue! Willkommen!

[edit]

Hi Thorney¿?, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Please don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

I apoligize

[edit]

I apoligize, You won't see one of those messages on this page again, ever.

-) No problem. If you think it's fair use, though, feel free to discuss that in the discussion page, but for now on the safe side I put it on copyright violation list. --16:27, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

No, your right i had absolutly no right to put it there. didnt realize the now obvious differance with what is widely known and what is free to put here. Can i just have a link to the/a site with the lyrics perhaps?

I think a link would be fine. However, let's wait until the admins get a chance to purge the lyrics from the history of the page (it may take a couple weeks -- that has a major backlog); then, add the link. Thanks. --Nlu 03:54, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong page?

Hello. Is there any specific reason why you added Doubtful Sound info to the talk page of Fjordland? Might be of better use on the Doubtful Sound page, so how about moving it there?

PS: How about putting the pic on your user page into a thumbnail (a BIG thumbnail, if you want ;-). As it is, it is way too big for just about ANY screen ;-) And here I was thinking that Te Anau's bandwidth was rationed! See ya MadMaxDog 12:52, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Thorney¿?. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Alblak.JPG) was found at the following location: User:Thorney¿?. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:57, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
