Thanks for the post on my page. The reason I reverted your addition to capacitance is first and formost that the statement is incorrect. It is true that C is approximately constant in most materials to a high degree of accuracy (and I would be more than happy if you inserted that statement into the article). Further down the article materials that do not obey this are discussed.
It is also the case that capacitance is not constant in mechanically dynamic systems - consider how an elecrostatic voltmeter works for instance. This is important in many different kinds of sensors and transducers. The article is sadly deficient in this area and would make a good sub-section for expansion.
Changing capacitors is not really an exception, the new capacitor would then charge up, still with C=Q/V and still a constant, albeit a different one. Also note that this article is about capacitance, not capacitors, a subtle difference.
Finally, the style of writing on Wikipedia is expected to be formal, third person, passive voice. That is, no "you" in sentences. If that was all that was wrong, I would have fixed it of course instead of reverting. SpinningSpark 07:50, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
