Welcome
[edit]Hello, Thomaslw. Thank you for your contributions. Here are a few good links I recommend for newcomers — you've been around here for a long time, but you might find some of these useful anyway:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! CWC(talk) 03:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Please be bold!
[edit]Thank you for your suggestion regarding Remote Procedure Call. When you feel an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the Edit this page link at the top. The Wikipedia community encourages you to be bold in updating pages. Don't worry too much about making honest mistakes — they're likely to be found and corrected quickly. Are you aware of the "watchlist" feature here? I have Remote Procedure Call on my watchlist; that's how I noticed your comment.
If you're not sure how editing works, check out how to edit a page. You could also create a "sandbox" page at (for example) User:Thomaslw/Sandbox to practice your editing skills.
Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. Cheers, CWC(talk) 03:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
