Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mlpit shroob castle.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mlpit shroob castle.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Road runner snes screen3.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Road runner snes screen3.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NanohaA'sYuriTalk, My master 23:54, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

3rr warn

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of DSiWare games and applications. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:25, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Super Mario Galaxy 2 edit?

[edit]

Which edit is supposed to be inaccurate? The one where I corrected it, or the other one where I corrected it? Yes, there's NOTHING inaccurate about it. There are NO returning galaxies, and the game was NOT pushed to February 9, 2010. Those where basically the 2 edits I made recently. What was so inaccurate about them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Ultimate Koopa (talkcontribs) 22:13, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry

[edit]

I thought you said that some of my recent edits themselves were inaccurate. But seriously, it was revealed that there'd be only new galaxies a good month or 2 ago, and it STILL said that there'd be returning galaxies, and also it said the game was going to be released on February 9, 2010 but NO release date has ever been confirmed yet. I know you weren't trying to vandalize Wikipedia, but why don't you rethink making Wuhu Island a redirect to Wii Sports Resort, Wikipedia is for information about everything, not only on notable subjects, and there is no practical limit to the number of topics it can cover. Let me prove this to you with a link to WP:NOTPAPER Us441 (talk) 20:52, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Harvest Moon 64

[edit]

After reading the articles you cited, I agree with your judgements. My apologies, for I am still learning proper techniques and etiquette. I can imagine it would be frustrating to find users violating such obvious rules, but I assure you that I am thoroughly embarrassed and will not do it again. I will go back and take out unnecessary parts to Harvest Moon 64 and others to which I have made similar edits. To be honest, that particular article as was looked rather cluttered and I most likely would have cleaned it up anyway. That being said, the three wikipedia articles you provided, especially WP:GAMEGUIDE, have given me a better perspective of what is expected. Before the edits in question, I thought articles advanced from stubs to higher class articles with more information, but after looking at the articles that you have worked on, specifically Wario's Woods and Sadness, I see that there are much different requirements. My only other question would be if the information provided on the page has any place on this site or if it should be omitted completely?

Sesamehoneytart (talk) 00:12, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Sesamehoneytart[reply]

I've finished modifying the remaining section of Harvest Moon 64 to what (I think?) is an acceptable standard. In my opinion, it is clean enough to remove the 'requires cleanup' tag, but if you have time, would you mind looking it over just in case?

Thanks

The comment "Oh, and Americans are BEST!" doesn't offer anything useful to the topic at hand. It looked like trolling, which is why I reverted it. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 01:32, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you clarify reverting my release date fix on the Animal Crossing page? I'm fairly certain the EU release date I updated it to is correct. It *definitely* didn't release here before the US, I recall having to import it and even after doing so the local release took an extraordinarily long time. I'm wondering if I missed a key stylistic nuance or something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.189.44.102 (talk) 10:01, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Wii Music screenshot.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Wii Music screenshot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nintendo task force membership update

[edit]

Hello,

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do periodically to keep our membership up-to-date.

All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on 1 August 2011, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. Okay, it's no in Google but is in disponible in 2012 Losotaint (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 13:16, 10 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Wii Sports Ski.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Marcus Qwertyus 21:21, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My thanks/On user talk comments

[edit]

Hi Thomas, I wanted to voice my appreciation for your reinstatement of my removed comment over on TheLoverofLove's talk page. While I haven't as yet received a response and the comment has been removed again, I'm not overly concerned about the removal as yet. While I admit I found it somewhat peculiar, everyone has the right to manage their talk page: it may simply be that TLoL has taken my advice on board and doesn't feel the need to have the notice on their talk any more. It's not worth edit warring over if the user already intends to act more in line with consensus in future; if that's the case, it's not important whether or not the comment remains. If not, then, we'll cross that bridge ... Regardless, thanks again. - Vague | Rant 15:38, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Character images

[edit]

Hi, regarding your recent uploads of newer images of Kirby characters, character images are not always updated for the most recent game's artwork. The artwork that should be displayed is the one which is most recognized, and most descriptive. I think that the Super Smash Bros. Brawl images were more recognized, and more descriptive. The newer ones are cartoony, and give a simpler view of the characters. I will not revert them, but wanted to tell you this anyways. Blake (Talk·Edits) 20:11, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mario & Wario assessment

[edit]

I've assessed Mario & Wario, rating it Start-class. There's a few thing you could do to bring it up to C or better. Some of the information in the lead (designer's name, release information) should also be present in the prose, under a Development heading most likely. Also, is it possible to provide a secondary source for ref 2? Ref 3 uses a guide, which would specifically mention this kind of thing, whereas it's an observation bordering on WP:OR to just cite the game itself. Additionally, a page number for ref 3 would be great too. GRAPPLE X 03:37, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Animal Crossing (Nintendo 3DS)

[edit]

In my most recent (and most productive haha) edit of that section, I fixed a few errors; however, you undid them. If " Customization, a major facet of the series, particularly in the player's ability to modify the character's appearance and furnish the living space, has also been enhanced: the character's pants and shoes can now be modified in addition to their shirt, hat, and accessory; and the ability to hang furniture on walls has been added." those two sentences are related, shouldn't there be at least a semicolon between "enhanced" and "the" with a transition? For instance, "...has also been enhanced; also,...". The semicolon between "accessory" and "and" is way out of place and doesn't need to be there. That semicolon just adds an unneeded pause when reading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.163.123.111 (talk) 04:01, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Sadness wii.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Sadness wii.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi. When you recently edited Nintendo Puzzle Collection, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Emulation (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Vandalism to videogame articles by Belgian IPs

[edit]

Hi. I see you and some other editors have been struggling with vandalism to our videogame articles from multiple Belgian IPs:

Please feel free to ask any administrator to block any new accounts at the first sign of more vandalism; make sure they know the history of these other accounts so they don't worry about the new account or IP first having had multiple warnings. If it's the same person, they've had all the warnings and blocks they need to know our rules. Also, if they know this history, an administrator will likely block any new account for a longer period.

Thanks for watching out for our content! --A. B. (talkcontribs) 17:43, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mario phantom categories

I'm running out of ideas - see User_talk:Davebrayfb; maybe you can think of a way to get through to him? JohnInDC (talk) 22:26, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Super Paper Mario, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bowser (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Tip

[edit]

Here's a little tip ThomasO1989:

You created your Wikipedia account on 6 July 2006. On your userpage, anywhere on your userbox, you might like to write the following source:

{{User Wikipedian For|year=2006|month=7|day=6}}

If you do that, this will appear on your userbox:

This user has been on Wikipedia for 18 years, 4 months and 3 days.

Cheers! :) CURTAINTOAD! TALK! 06:33, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please click here if you want more userboxes on your userpage. :) --CURTAINTOAD! TALK! 07:35, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you might like to create a page called "User:ThomasO1989/Userboxes" and add your userboxes there! Please leave a message on my user talk page after you have created the page so that I can take at it! Cheers! CURTAINTOAD! TALK! 06:20, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
