Great edits, can you add a summary?
[edit]When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Budgiekiller 11:50, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
THE BEATLES - LOVE
[edit]Can someone please either tell me how to create a page or create a page regarding the new Beatles album, Love? It is a collection of new material that is being released in a matter of weeks, and to my surprise there is absolutely no mention of it on either the Beatles article or even on its own. - I think someone beat you to the punch - try LOVE (album)! Cheers! Budgiekiller 20:12, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- It's also mentioned in the discography article... Budgiekiller 20:14, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Concerning your message on my talk page
[edit]Without any other information, I'm assuming that you speak of this edit in particular [1]. This edit most definitely was vandalism although it is indeed possible it was done by someone else who happened to be using your IP - a very good reason to create an account which I see that you have done. Considering the fact that this was the only edit made by this IP, I'm figuring that it was a dynamic address which both you and the offending user happened to share. I suggest you take your own advice and learn how the system works before leaving condescending messages. Trusilver (talk) 22:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
