Curriculum vitae
I have started a move discussion about CV, Curriculum vitae and Résumé. You have previously participated in this topic, and I would like your input in this discussion if you are still interested. John Vandenberg (chat) 01:01, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Child-on-child sexual abuse
I noticed your recent edit [1] and while it seems a worthwhile topic, I am concerned that it falls outside the scope of that particular article. COCSA is primarily about to children under 12 (that is, prepubescent) because they normally don't know what sex is and have not even developed biologically to have any drive towards it. The topic of your addition appears to primarily be about teenagers who have reached puberty.Legitimus (talk) 14:16, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- OK i have moved the text onto the School bullying article so it is not lost. ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 21:34, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- this is a very worthwhile subject but categorising it is not easy. It seems to be related to sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and sexual assault. I dont see that it is specifically relevant to schools so I am thinking it should have its own article (sexual bullying) and a summary in bullying and a "see also" link from school bullying, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and sexual assault. I see that "sexual coercion" is an expression with a similar meaning already used on Wikipedia.--Penbat (talk) 21:56, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea I’ll try putting something together at User:ThinkingTwice/project_page/Sexual_bullying ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 08:41, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- if you leave it in there for a few days it will give me a chance to do some tweaks.--Penbat (talk) 09:08, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- OK thanks ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 09:11, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- on the one hand "sexual bullying" is assumed to basically only relate to children (although i cant see that there is necessarily a direct relationship with schools, as that Panorama prog for example covered girls who were coerced into being gang raped which is not likely to be going on on school premises). But on the otherhand "sexual bullying" must presumably also apply to adults in some way as "sexual coercion". The definition given of "sexual bullying" is broad and is effectively bullying with any kind of sexual element so you could also apply that to workplace sexual harassment for example.--Penbat (talk) 09:40, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Sexual bullying
Have you given up on User:ThinkingTwice/project page/Sexual bullying ? There are issues to be resolved regarding how it fits in with other articles but sexual bullying is a common expression that deserves its own article. If you dont want to do any more work on it I could copy it to my sandbox area and develop it further myself. --Penbat (talk) 20:21, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Paul Wootten
The article Paul Wootten has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability - 3 books published by imprint of publishing house which was founded to publish his son's books. No evidence of coverage in independent reliable sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 07:24, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello, question about a discussion you participated in
Hi, you participated at a discussion adding a mention of views of pejorativeness to the lead of the term.
Since the group of new editors has defended the stance of complete removal, I thought of changing it to something like ""Some controversy around the term exists". What do you think? Mr. Magoo (talk) 03:40, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Infobox historical coat of arms
Hi! Just want to let you know that a template you improved recently, {{Historical coat of arms}}, has been proposed for merger with {{Infobox coat of arms wide}}. The template creator should have been notified but unfortunately is retired. Hopefully you can contribute to the discussion. Thanks! —МандичкаYO 😜 06:25, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Close of RfC
The recent RfC was closed very hastily a day after someone had just taken a part in the survey. Also, the editor somehow summarized the RfC as having reached the decision of changing the criticism section. Only two editors, the latter of whom an IP editor who hadn't even partaken in the survey, suggested that. What do you think? Mr. Magoo (talk) 04:47, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Marking edits as WP:Minor
ThinkingTwice, when it comes to edits like this, be careful not to mark the edit as WP:Minor. That stated, it was easy to see that it's not minor; so I don't consider this instance to be a big issue. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 22:18, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

Consensus
If you are reverted you are not supposed to add material back you (you not the remover) are supposed to make a case on the talk page. You are right, I am now in danger of edit warring, but I would suggest that you would most likely get criticized too for not following procedure. Hop=ever accusing me of vandalism is a PA, and that is unacceptable. It is not vandalism it is a content dispute and I ask you to keep a civil finger on your keyboard.Slatersteven (talk) 16:22, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- I did not accuse you of vandalism, read it again I merely brought it to your attention that if you reverted me a 3rd time it would be considered vandalism under the WP:3RR policy... That paragraph as I found it did not detail the controversial nature of the event or the people who were the ones being accused of antisemitism. It therefore downplayed the controversial statements said at the event by excluding all reference to them and just listed a long list of unnecessarily detailed quotes from Corbyn in what I can only guess was a fabled attempt by the original writer to distance him from the other speakers. The very reason the paragraph exists on that article was therefore strangely absent from it, so all I did was expand it slightly by giving the reader the reasons behind the controversy without touching the quotes from Corbyn. There is nothing unreasonable or unconsensus about what I did (you may want to read it again [2]). ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 17:02, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- 'This text is about antisemitism, its an event organised, chaired and attended by Labour members where speakers made antisemitic statements.'
- That is an inappropriate edit summary in a revert since it is contended that 'antisemitic' statements were made, not proven.Nishidani (talk) 14:09, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
- It has been proven, feel free to read the widely reported RS articles which quote the statements or watch what people recorded of the event, you can clearly hear the antisemitism being spoken. ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 14:30, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
- I've read them all. It's not proven. What was said was more or less identical to the following remark by Maj.Gen. Yair Golan in 2016
'“The Holocaust must lead us to think about our public life, and more importantly, it must lead everyone who can, not merely those who want, to carry public responsibility. If there is something that frightens me about the memory of the Holocaust, it is seeing the abhorrent processes that took place in Europe, and Germany in particular, some 70, 80 or 90 years ago, and finding manifestations of these processes here among us in 2016. Yoav Zitun IDF backs chief of staff candidate after Lieberman urged not to appoint him Ynet 13 August 2018
- That was precisely the point made by speakers at the 2010 meeting. For listening to them, Corbyn is branded an anti-Semite. Having made the same analogy, an Israeli general is now appointed head of the IDF.Nishidani (talk) 16:40, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
- Its shocking how people will defend racism by pretending its not racist - yet it is. Unfortunately for Labour, Corbyn can't even see the antisemitism when he is quite literally staring at it in a painted mural in front of his eyes. ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 16:49, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
- It has been proven, feel free to read the widely reported RS articles which quote the statements or watch what people recorded of the event, you can clearly hear the antisemitism being spoken. ThinkingTwice contribs | talk 14:30, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
