Media Molecule founders.
[edit]Hello Spaff, first off, welcome to Wikipedia, the Wikipedia Video Games Project are always happy to see developers on Wikipedia, we're even happier when they pop in to WT:VG and say hello. We're always happy to help them get articles up to scratch and fix obvious errors and at the same time helping them stay within the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia.
I need to have a chat with you about the lovely Siobhan, you added her as a founder of Media Molecule, obviously there's no doubt about her importance at MM or the fact that she was there at an early stage of the company's life, the problem comes with her being listed as a founder. The number of references where Mark Healey, Alex Evans, Dave Smith and Kareem Ettouney are named as the founders (Including MM's webite) far outweigh the number of references where the four chaps + Siobhan are listed as founders.
It seems obvious that Siobhan was a very early staff member but there doesn't seem to be the sources to back up her being a founder. Do you know of any? If not, do you know of any sources that cover her being an early employee?. She's obviously an important employee for the company, and we can find a way around the founder problem. - X201 (talk) 09:13, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
@X201:
Hello! I'm sorry, i'm a bit new to all of this so completely missed this message! Thanks for welcoming me, as you can see I'm trying to make the Mm related articles here a bit more accurate, and add some key people. I think you might be right though, we consider her a founder, but i guess it depends on what that means exactly. She was there at the beginning but perhaps not at the precise moment of inception.
I'll reword the article to say she joined the newly formed studio.
Thank you so much for your help! ah yes - I also added a fee more references in to the article from the Guardian and some other newspapers in Australia to show more coverage of her from reliable resources.
cheers, Spaff . Thespaff (talk) 13:42, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Blimey Spaff, two years :-) If you need any help with anything drop a message on my talk page. Chimpanzee floats around here from time-to-time too. Also WP:COI may be worth a read, just to be on the safe side; not accusing you of COI, just saying be aware of it. - X201 (talk) 13:59, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
@X201:
Hah oh yeah i didn't even see the year in the time stamp! I assumed this was in relation to me adding Siobhan to the Wiki! At least I've learned about talk pages since 2012. ;) COI does concern me, I'd rather our pages were kept up to date by others, but obviously that's more of a priority for us. I usually get involved only after i find people are getting facts wrong in their coverage, and trace it back to wiki articles.
I've been drafting up this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Siobhan_Reddy - I'd appreciate your help on it actually. With Siobhan's constantly increasing importance in the games industry, i believe she should have a page on here. I've tried to keep that content as dry and factual as possible, i hope you'll agree and can possibly help?
thank you! Thespaff (talk) 14:22, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
@X201: Hmm i should probably declare my COI on that page - do you know the best way for me to do that? Thespaff (talk) 15:02, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- There's no set way to do it, but a message like this on the talk page should do.
- Paste the text below(edit it to say what you want) on to Draft talk:Siobhan Reddy
==Declaring an interest==
I just want to make it clear to everyone that I have an interest in this article, I am employed by Media Molecule. I have ''not'' created this article at the request of my employer. I feel that the article is warranted and has enough reliable sources to support it. - ~~~~
- Another thing you could do is edit your User Page to declare it (something like , Hello I'm Spaff I work for MM.)
- Another option is to drop by WT:VG, it's where all the Video Game editors hang out, just drop a note saying you've created the article and would like someone to check it for neutrality etc.
- I'll have a look at the article too. Hope this helps. - X201 (talk) 15:48, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
@X201: You're the best! <3

Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:25, 6 November 2014 (UTC)@X201: Hi there!
I just wanted to check if you were still an active editor on here these days!
You were really helpful before and so i was hoping you might help me out again. I no longer work at media molecule, but am now at Double Fine. my boss (Tim Schafer) said that he would like to address some inaccuracies on his wikipedia page, and i said i thought i could help.
The inaccuracies are largely to do with game credits, but also two other things that aren't true.
What's the best way for me to proceed? :) Thank you thank you!!
I'm terrible at this seeing as i only use it once every few years.
hope all is well!
