THC Ministry, etc.
[edit]Hello, I'm pleased to have your help in cleaning this article up to a higher standard of quality. I recognize that your user page indicates you consider yourself a member of this organization, and therefore you likely have a broader knowledge of the subject than I or most people. I would like to be fair and open minded, but I hope you will be tolerant of my criticisms which are not for the purpose of injecting my own POV, but intended to distinguish the religious and sacramental aspects from the questionable legal theories that I see the organization promoting to believing and non-believing people. re: Whig - THC Ministry
[edit]Aye, though It does need a bit more work (I think the history needs to be pretty much rewritten to include the Religion of Jesus Christ). I will have to look at it for a little while and get it all worked out. Regardless of the fact that I am a member, I would like it to remain up to NPOV-standards. The way I felt about it was, that editing it to say that they "claimed" to be a religion would have very little difference from editing the article on christianity, hinduism, or any other religion and putting that they "claim" to be a religion. It is not up to the members of wikipedia to determine the legitimacy of any religion (and despite the fact that I cannot stand scientologists AT ALL, I would afford even them the same priveledge).
I agree that some of Roger Christie's claims regarding the THC Ministry are somewhat questionable.
I noticed that you are working on the Psychadelics, Dissociatives, and Deliriants Project. I just recently added my name to the contributor list; hopefully today I can get a bit more put into the project, which I was a bit shocked to find yet in its infancy. You seem like a bright person, deffinitely I will look foward to collaborating with you. --thereverendeg 12:41, 24 July 2005 (UTC)
Some questions have been raised on this article's talk page. Could you respond there please? That'd be greaattt. humblefool® 14:31, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

Is it me, or are there problems with this article? What notation is G0 supposed to represent? Isn't it more useful to speak of the GL group proper instead of talking about the GL groupoid? (of course, all groups are groupoids...)
I may be misunderstanding things, however. Dysprosia 06:36, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
- You've taken this from Groupoid, then, I presume. In future, don't forget to take the context with the new article or, more usefully, redirect one to the other. Dysprosia
- OK I see that you went ahead and just did the rd. I was originally going to just do that (as it did seem to make sense) but I wasn't sure if there was room for an entire GLG article. Thanks --thereverendeg 06:52, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
Hi, the categories you are adding to user pages with "Wikipedians in foo" is a grand-parent of these cats, so essentially you are double categorizing. Thats like putting Category:Actors and Category:American actors on the same page. Please reconisder adding more of these if a Wikipedian sub cat exists. Thank you. ∞Who?¿? 07:54, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- Do you mean like when a user has both Category:Wikipedians and Category:Wikipedians in New York on their page? Right now I'm in the process of detangling the user categorization scheme (which on the enwiki is currently done mostly in lists, unlike most other wikis where categories, for good reason, are used instead). There is a lot of ambiguation right now and I'm working through it, I won't leave it a tangled mess, I promise!--thereverendeg 08:07, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
Your cat change to my userpage
[edit]Er... beyond issues of changing my userpage for me, I may live in DC, but I'm still from the South. I wouldn't mind adding the DC cat, but to replace the Southern cat with a DC cat on my personal userpage is a little presumptuous. I'm sure you meant no harm, but just FYI. · Katefan0(scribble) 19:26, July 28, 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't mean to offend - I was a bit strucken when I noticed the existence of the Southern cat, which is an orphan category and doesn't really get used at all - BUT I suppose if people who are listed in it actually care about it, I will file it away under Category:Wikipedians in the United States as an extra category to hang in there. It just seems a bit redundant, but then I do know of southerners who wouldn't claim their southern origins, and I know quite a few folks not of the south who would claim it. Sorry about this, I will rectify it!--thereverendeg 19:29, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- No harm done! It's a new category actually just recently started, maybe it needs some tweaking (I don't really understand some of the way categories work functionally). I believe User:JCarriker is the one that set it up, you might want to let him know if there are any problems with it. · Katefan0(scribble) 19:38, July 28, 2005 (UTC)
- No harm done here either, but there was no notice on my talk page. --ThomasK 10:52, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
- I won't be editing user pages any longer, I will instead modify talk pages to give notice of the changes as they take place. --thereverendeg 13:16, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
User categorisation
[edit]G'day, I apoligise for linking back to the subpage, as I didn't realise that it had been decided that the subpage lists are being converted to categories. This is a good idea replacing the subpage lists with categories and if you don't mind I've been helping you out. What I've been doing is sorting categories for all those user pages and location categories that have not been sorted. I'll get around to doing all of Australia (including states/territories) soon. I've also add piping so users can sort their own categories – because it seems alot of users don't know how to sort cats – like so:
To add yourself to this list, insert the following on your user page: [[Category:Wikipedians in Country name|Username]]
– AxSkov (T) 11:24, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
- Awesome! Thanks a lot for lending your help. I'm thinking of going ahead and making a project page for this since it's looking to be quite a sizeable undertaking. --thereverendeg 00:02, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
You were listed on the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Quebec page as living in or being associated with Quebec. As part of the Wikipedia:User categorisation project, these lists are being replaced with user categories. If you would like to add yourself to the category that is replacing the page, please visit Category:Wikipedians in Quebec for instructions.--Rmky87 01:38, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

More objections to project
[edit]Dear Thereverendeg, Would you please be so kind to respond to the elementary objections againstyour project or at least a shift from the lists? Can you put a reference to the first linse of yourProject"It has been proposed (and is currently being implemented) that these lists be replaced by a system of organised categories." When was this proposed, by who and where can we read it ? Thank you. --Leopard 12:33, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:THC_Ministry_Court_stipulation.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:THC_Ministry_Court_stipulation.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

Image copyright problem with Image:Thereverendeg.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Thereverendeg.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 23:16, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Thereverendeg.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Thereverendeg.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 04:57, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
